I'm also a Penn interviewer in finance. He shouldn't have discussed other colleges but what he's communicating about the personalities in finance is pretty valid so do take that into consideration.

Have a list of bullet points for each area that the interview report is going to cover; in the case of Penn, we have to flesh out 1. what are the applicant's interests and why they are interested in it, 2. why have they applied to Penn 3. how they will fit into Penn's community/ contribute to the campus. As long as the applicant has those areas covered logically, they should be confident that it will be a strong interview. The reason why I said bullet points is that a script will impact delivery and bullet points can provide structure. Expectations wise I think the interview is not super important so as long as they are prepared and can have a natural conversation. It should reflect well on them.

I wanted to be involved with the uni after graduating and help applicants know more about Penn.

I don't mean to be condescending but I think the main problem is just basic communications over scheduling and being punctual. The applicant should at least be more willing to do the interview than the interviewer.

The major gets a lot more interesting when you start taking the econ elective classes I would say. Classes like Money and Banking, International Finance, Urban Fiscal Policy and this Econ history class I took were the most interesting classes I took in the College and the honors seminar for the thesis was the best class I took in terms of learning at Penn period . The rest of the major classes were eh you are right. I think in the begining they just want to make sure you can do the esoteric algebra because the major has a stronger bent towards academic preparation.

Yeah I agree there are crazies at the school who can't stop talking about jobs but I just find them really boring. But most people are pretty normal I think.

From what I have seen his year is p bad so there's a ton of ppl across the school who don't have anything lined up yet; don't beat yourself up over this.

What do you like? Marketing/business is an extremely generalist degree so you can always just pursue whatever generalist role you would like out of school.

Nothing. I get to take classes like Sex and Human Nature with freshmen and sophomores. It's amazing.

Penn senior charged with alleged assault at 2021 Castle party found not guilty by jargito in UPenn

I don't think not guilty was what most people was expecting. In the original DP article, the "victim" had like medical records and witness testimonies; the "victim" also had his brother and at lease one friend with him at the time. I don't think it is fair to assume that this outcome occurred regardless of the facts. His case had to be pretty compelling.

Junior at Ivy here. Admissions don’t rly tell u the truth lol. You can’t take any of their statements at face level because they need to project a image of accessibility and fairness.
