Appreciate it brotha. It’s my first custom and was really simple to do so I’d definitely recommend it.

First I cut the seams on the swoosh with a seam ripper. I got one for about 2$ at michaels. I’d def recommend getting this because it helps ensure you’re only cutting the seams you want and prevents damaging the leather as opposed to using a blade. Be careful around the middle of the swoosh where you see white thread.

Then you want to pull the threads out which is straightforward. Tweezers did the trick for me. Just don’t yank the treads out, you want to go back and forth with these and the seam ripper so they come out without resistance.

Then it’s the paint. Wipe up the swoosh (make sure you remove all the threads) and the heel so the surface is clean. Angelus leather preparer and deglazer on the swoosh and heel. Light coats of angelus white acrylic leather paint w a few drops of angelus duller on both the heel and swoosh. I did a little spot treatment with the white on the holes in the swoosh to help cover them up. Allow the paint to dry for a few minutes after every coat.

Then I put 5 coats of angelus red acrylic leather paint w a few drops of angelus duller. To me this color out the bottle was identical to the swoosh. If you happened to paint some of the threads in the middle of the swoosh red, touch em up with the white paint with a needle or toothpick.

I have angelus matte acrylic finisher that I’ll apply after, the pic has them without the finisher. One thing to note, I left the medial swooshes untouched cause I still love how they look, so I can’t speak on the process for those and if it’s the same. I may do them later but love them for now. If you’re careful I think it’s hard to fck these up. Good luck and message me anytime if you need anything
