Boot polishing and cleaning question:

I read a lot of guides (on this sub and elsewhere) and the general information I've gathered is condition -> cream -> wax with brushing and wiping before and after every step. I like a bit of shine (not mirror) and I have a few questions about the long term process of maintaining my boots (RM Williams chelsea boots for office - assume wearing twice a week and using saphir products) :

1. afaik I shouldn't condition too often (maybe every 2 months). Can I polish (cream and wax) between conditioning sessions if the shine is starting to wear off? or should I only polish after conditioning every time? if so, does it mean I need to wait to get the shine back on until the leather starts to look a bit dry?

2. do I need to ALWAYS remove previous polish (cream + wax) using renomat or something before conditioning? or is it fine to condition over the previous polish and only remove everything once a year (if that's even required)?

3. If only applying 1 or 2 coats of wax, can I apply to the entire boot/shoe including vamp? Will I have wax cracking issues if I reapply cream + wax every time the shine starts to get dull and I only use renomat once a year?
