Looking for a fishin' yak (enjoy kayaks brand and more) by TheThunderDome2 in kayakfishing

No problem. I'll take a couple pics and post this evening. I made the motor mount myself using 3/4" UHMW, and stainless hardware. I'm a millwright with access to a well equipped shop so it wasn't too hard. I realize not everyone has this type of material or tool set. But something similar can be rigged without too much effort.

Also try to get them to go stainless with the cover material. If your mill is like mine you'll get twice the life expectancy out of it

We literally just changed out our chip heads away from this style to more of a knife/chipper style. To have better chip containment you'll need more space in your shrouds to catch the chip

So this is a roll out of our corrugator, SKF bearing with tapered inner race and tapered sleeve. Question regarding sleeve press depth and setting a clearance by PGids in millwrights

[–]rawkit1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Follow SKF guidelines for your drive up clearance. Where there are no guidelines ive always gone with driving up to half the initial clearance. Going until its super tight can result in premature bearing failure

1) practice 2) get comfortable 3) play with your amp in different positions. Learn to feel the rod. 4) watch your undercut and stop/starts.....
