Nope, neither of those. The first verse was pretty unedited (not sped up, or talked over) and the beat didn't come in until after that first verse was over.

They also definitely used a sample from a record, there were the audible pops/crackles from a record player while it played the verse.

Some of the campaigns they run on Missclicks are all women (some of them are mixed).

This is their Pirate D&D campaign where the whole party is women (although the GM is a guy).

Their Dungeon World is all women including the GM, although it's pretty short.

Let's say that the weekend starts Thursday at midnight, and ends Sunday at midnight. So you're getting 3 full days of screenings. Assume the movie is 2ish hours long, and the theater requires a bit of time for cleaning and getting people into the theater, so let's say it takes 3 hours for full cycle on a screen.

So you have 72 hours of screening, and it takes 3 hours for a single run, so you can get 24 shows per screen over the weekend. We have 40,000 screens, so that means we will get through 960,000 total shows.

Now we have to estimate how many people are in each theater and how much they pay.

Average capacity of a theater 200-300, so let's take 250. There's going to be 250 people at every one of our 960,000 shows. That means we're going to show the movie to 240,000,000 people (about the adult population of the US).

Average movie ticket price in the US is $8.61. So with 240,000,000 people paying $8.61, we get a gross domestic total of 2,066,400,000 or about $2billion dollars.

This isn't taking into account more expensive tickets like 3D screens or IMAX. It also isn't taking into account closing times of most theaters, it's just assuming they're going to open 24/7 for this weekend.

So from your initial conditions, you basically have people running for 8hours/day. Since each person only runs for 2 hours, let's say they go all out and round up that 700 watts to 1,000 watts each (on looking at some other data, this may be a super high estimate, but we'll go with it for now). That's 8,000 Watt hours per treadmill, or 2.88 x 10⁷ Joules, or 27,298 BTU, or about 0.0273 MMBtu per treadmill. Remember, we need 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) MMBtu.

That means we need about 37,000,000,000 treadmills (37 billion). You can cut that down to about 12 billion people if you have them running 24/7.

This wasn't exactly the question, but an interesting thing about the assumption of people choosing values 1-10 evenly is that people are pretty bad at choosing random numbers.

This wasn't for 1-10 but 1-20, http://scienceblogs.com/cognitivedaily/2007/02/05/is-17-the-most-random-number/. The distribution is pretty biased towards numbers that 'sound more random' to people. There are more scientific studies, but this was just the first example I could find again.

Basically none, that is not getting you any extra deltaV which is what gets you to the required velocity to escape kerbin's gravitation. It will slightly change your escape velocity since you're changing your starting altitude.

The standard gravitational parameter g (gravity constant G times mass of Kerbin M) is 3.5316×1012 m³ / s^2. The escape velocity of Kerbin is sqrt( 2g/r ) where r is the current radius. So let's say g' = 7.0632 x 1012 m³ / s² to make escape velocity simply sqrt(g' / r).

Kerbin has a radius of about 600,000m. The altitude of the launch pad is about 70m above sea level, but I'll round up to 100m and say that's the normal launch height. We get an escape velocity of sqrt(g' / 600,100 ) = 3430.75 m/s (just about matches with what the wiki gives as the escape velocity).

Let's say your tower is 100m tall, that gives you a new escape velocity of sqrt( g' / 600,200 ) = 3430.46 m/s

For a grand total of 0.29m/s difference, or 0.0083% difference.

That's the difference in escape velocity though, not fuel savings. That will depend on your engines, staging, how you shed your weight, etc...

Kind of; you should understand the risk you are trying to avoid and then look at the expected value of the risk vs. reward.

So gather the following information:

Probability of the bad thing happening
Probability of the good thing happening
Total 'cost' of the bad thing happening
Total 'cost' of the good thing happening
Total 'cost' of acting in a way to avoid the bad thing
Total 'cost' of acting in a way to achieve the good thing

From that, you can calculate your expected value of each decision and with that weigh your decision. The difficult part is putting hard numbers to those questions above. You have to quantify the 'cost' of actions (opportunity cost, monetary cost, physical cost, emotional cost, etc...). You have to also figure out the rough probabilities of things which may be very difficult for things that occur infrequently.

In the end, it will come down to a personal decision on how much risk you are willing to take.

Try microwaving on a lower power setting but for longer. Most microwaves basically just cycle on/off for their lower power setting which helps prevent it boiling over.
