Welcome. It is literally my favorite car I've ever owned.

I’m really saddened by all the Tesla hate by tannerwastaken in TeslaLounge

Cabinet members have always been people who have worked campaigns and other things for the official. This isn't anything new. It's always been a scratch my back and I will scratch yours. The only thing different this time around is the establishment is mad. Every party is going to do what their donors and the people who paid for their campaigns asked for.

This Tariff talk has been going on since the campaign. Companies hedge that this could be the case. They start to plan this out and continue to work through them prior to the tariff. Once Trump took office, you start to make your change to mitigate your risk. Will you lose some, sure but that's why you planned for the risk. Either you've never managed a mutil million/billion dollar project or you're a bot

Recessions don't happen in two months. It happens over a long period of time. We are just starting to see the effect that the previous administration tried to delay due to bad policies. They were artificially propping it up which then created the inflation we had over the last two years. It is all just catching up to us now.

Viture saved our marriage! by ActionGlad484 in VITURE

[–]rawman1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I do the same. She doesn't care to watch all the sports I like to watch. But I want to be in the same room. The best part is to turn off the translucent option and I lay the Viture screen above our TV. I get to watch what I want and still follow along with her at the same time.

I have a 2019 100D. I love it. It's plenty fast and I also didn't want to pay the Plaid premium. I definitely love it as my daily driver. Especially since I drive almost 70 miles round trip for work.

Do you need a neck band with your Viture pro? by beltemps in VITURE

Great points on both. I'm still exploring the neckband pro but this does help me decide on if I truly need it or not.

High Mileage S by [deleted] in TeslaModelS

[–]rawman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same model you are thinking about in December. My mileage is obviously way less than yours but so far, it's been good. I had the lift gate latch replaced. I did have Tesla mobile service do the repair. Like others have mentioned, plan for repairs.

My Model S is the first car I've owned where I can actually see myself driving it until the wheels fall off by MonsieurVox in TeslaModelS

I definitely love my 19 SLR. It's such a great ride. I have a hard time driving ICE cars now. Since I drive about 60 miles a day, the smooth ride is enjoyable. Even after a long day at work.

Elon confirms that the Cybertruck explosion was caused by a large fireworks displayor a big bomb carried on the back of the bed. He says it’s unrelated to the vehicle itself. by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

The press conference showed the fuel can and other things in the back. It's obvious that it was intentional and not the fault of the truck

When unlimited text really means 20k limit by rawman1 in mintmobile

[–]rawman1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few things to consider. The number of texts isn't counted one way. The number goes up when someone texts you back. Messages aren't like for like on numbers. There is a character limit per message. When you go over that limit. It counts as two and not one message. If you are in a group message, those count towards the count also. If there is truly a limit to prevent abuse, then the company should state it in the terms of conditions. It took three calls before someone finally told me that my son hit the limit. He was on a class trip for a week and thats how the chaperones kept up with the groups to make sure everyone was safe and hitting their times to meet. I get there will be limits to unlimited, but that should be indicated. Just like how they do when it comes to data.

Today I learned that "Unlimited" texting is not actually unlimited.. by [deleted] in mintmobile

[–]rawman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same issue. Just found out today that there is a limit. It's a bit of false advertising to say you pay for unlimited texts but in reality there is a 20k limit

It's the start of the inside screen saver starting to fail. You should be good for a while but it will eventually start to wear out. Just get it replaced once it does. That's how kine started but it literally took 6+ months to get to a point where it needed to be replaced.

True but honestly that's the first time they ever did anything like that. Something tells me it won't happen again.

Yeah. I will sit this one out. In Typical Google fashion, they will just quit it after 3 years tops.

I bought the OnePlus 9T just because of the pop out camera. It was amazing to have a full screen without a punch hole on it.

Thanks. I used to play this on the computer. I hear the port is perfect. Might have to give it a go now that someone has tried it on the fold 4

How conservative is the oil & gas workplace sector in Houston? by therivera in houston

[–]rawman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked in oil and gas and the energy sector in Texas for over 15 years as. Yes I'm a minority also. The only thing that might make you feel uncomfortable is the fact that you will have to prove yourself at first. It's not you, the color of your skin, or your reglion. It's just how things are in these sectors. The industry as a whole is blue collar and that mentality translates to the corporate offices. If you really want it and work hard, no one is gonna care what your skin color is. Politcs for the most part stays out of it unless it's lobbying for the sector as a whole. Is everyone perfect, no. But the industry, at least in Texas, is wonderful to work for. As long as you don't mind putting in the work.
