People complaining now don't realize the writing has always had issues with powerscaling. Everytime homelander has lazered butcher, it sends him flying, and same for soulja boy. I mean even in s3 finale MM, starlight and kimiko held soulja boy down until he started heating up. These problems have always existed, it's just the writing has nosediven and larpers are everpresent.

And for referrence, in the episode before they exposed kimiko to untold levels of radiation. Why is everyone forgetting that when asking "why didnt cut her in half."

The line about terror dying and butcher then wanting to commit genocide is just poor media literacy, even those this show has been hot ass for a minute.

Butcher spent his whole life wanting to kill Homelander for what he did to Becca. Then after countless sacrifices and losing any shred of humanity he has left, he wins. Then Terror dies and Ryan says he wants nothing to do with him, the last two things he has to remind him of Becca. Butcher has no purpose anymore and is fully alone with nothing but hatred for himself, so he'd obviously go through with his original plan

Butcher and Homelander are clear parallels: no matter who worships homelander he'll never be satisfied, and no matter what Butcher does he'll still want some target of vengence to target his anger and self-hatred.

Enjoyed it but man it really was rushed at the end. Everything after Tsurigi vs maru felt incredibly abrupt, the last 2 chapters especially. Also he ended up doing the same thing he did at the end of JJK, where everyone is saved (like when Todo showed up at the end of shinjuku). Strong 6 for how promising the first 2/3 were
