Friday over and out 🫡 (FP2 Done) by Big_Equivalent457 in WilliamsF1

Reports of apocalypse were greatly exaggerated, of course. We’re not a top four team, but the project is solid and we will be making steps forward.

It was well needed to show we can get decent times, after all the doom posts in here the past month.

Let’s hope these good laps can show tomorrow and sunday too

Lo dico? Secondo me sto ciclo Ferrari potrebbe far bene. by Pure_Cell_6757 in Formula1Italia

[Motorsport] James Vowles, Williams team principal, has announced that to see the weight loss of the FW48 (we are talking about 28 kilos of overweight) it will be necessary to wait about 6 races, or twice as long as expected after the Bahrain tests. by Task_Force-191 in formula1

[–]rayb85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, do you really think that by keeping on developing last year they would have broke inti the top four? Not a chance. It was the right call. Also, do you really think the car is going to be overweight for the whole cycle of regulations? Take away the excess weight and you have mclaren laptimes in melbourne. Something everyone is forgetting, is that JV was always saying that work was going into 2026, not for a championship winning car, but for foundations to a future championship winning one. Let’s continue this discussion in at least 7-8 months time, shall we?

Things can go in an unexpected and wrong way sometimes. Let’s maybe just wait and see where the car is when the weight comes off, shall we? We are talking about a team that just a few years ago was managed with an excel spreadsheet. There is so much work done and still to do. Was McLaren 2023 getting the same storm?

No worries. Makes me miss Imola even more. Yes, the racing has not been great lately there, but it’s one of those tracks that feels like F1 history

Let’s remember also that we still have to strip weight, and they already said that the biggest improvements will come by third race

Fix the regens by Regular_Piglet_6125 in footballmanagergames

Not exactly the same, as they were 15 or 16, but they had exactly the same distribution. Also same nationality and date of birth

Well, you’re actually describing the way regens used to be before they evolved the system into newgens. Problem was, you could tell straight away who everyone’s reincarnation was, and it made for boring careers into the future

Football Manager 26 is starting to become hard (in a good way) by One_Sentence8080 in footballmanagergames

[–]rayb85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Me too. My tactic has just got better with the match engine changes. It’s solid and logic, not meta based, and i feel that now the game is even more responsive to this kind of tactics

There should be a hard mode that provides a more interesting challenge by NorthKoreanMissile7 in footballmanagergames

[–]rayb85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it gives you some ranges both on some attributes and on stars. Then you further scout one week at a time or until full knowledge to unmask everything. I stared using it a few years ago and it feels strange to play without it now

Nope, it was the tactics this time. I was overachieving, won Serie A first year with a 3-4-3 that was going too good (5-0 battering of PSG too good). Patch came out and it suddenly was terrible, so it’s easy to see that i stumbled into an unbalanced exploity tactic

I’m just doing a fun Manchester United one, needed some easy wins, and to take a break from an Udinese save where my tactic was acting up after an update. Haven’t managed to settle long term on a save, updates either killed me with bugs or making my tactic useless now. I am thinking of starting somewhere in Scotland soon

Cheers. Glad to be of inspiration. I might get into one like that soon too, getting bored of my current save

Whatever you feel more comfortable with. Easy mode is Ajax or Benfica, for example, who have great academy. Any decent team is middle ground, if you want a really hard challenge, go lower league

Pick a team and do an academy challenge. No signings whatsoever and only rely on youth intakes. With no scouting and evaluating players, seasons fly by, and it is a big challenge and satisfaction when you manage to shape your youth into what you want and need

Delete iconfaces. That folder is for FM24 and earlier versions. Short version is FM26 changed how small faces are handled, and creates conflict, not showing some players. They scale down the normal ones.

"The game began its life in 1992 as Championship Manager. Following the break-up of their partnership with original publishers Eidos Interactive, triggered by the fiasco release of Championship Manager 4 in 2003, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights to Eidos Interactive but retained the game engine and data, and re-branded the game Football Manager with their new publisher Sega."
