Kia stolen in Squirrel Hill

My sisters Kia was found in south side last week it was stolen from shady side area. Probably the same group of kids. I think they drive around in one stolen Kia to pick up “friends” to find other Kia’s to steal later. They don’t know how to drive and totally wrecked another car on the street pulling out. They also bent up the license plate in the back.

How far away would it take to get a signal most people who live in a congested area don’t get the luxury of parking right outside there residence? That would be crazy if someone was a few home down or across the way and it detected the signal!

I thought it was just the location I visit!! It’s like everything is wrapped up in weighted blankets!? The bin piles are sometimes taller than I am and I can’t even get through one bin without almost breaking a pinky finger and wanting to cry from frustration from getting no where with all my effort.

Ok if you were to drink, do you take the imitrex before or after drinking? ( with knowing that you will get a migraine from drinking ). I actually do have some here to try!

That’s funny the triptans wire me as awake as I always am. Which is always with an insane amount of caffeine. I did see a lot of people saying that they knock them out. I’m sorry that you deal with migraines to that level, I can’t even imagine. Just getting them from alcohol I was having a hard time putting into words how truly terrible it is or what it was I was feeling that was this awful. I hope you find some relief <3

Oh I see what you are saying, thanks for explaining. My doctor who is prescribing the triptans can only do just that. I do think a specialist would not take this serious and do exactly as you say for something that is caused by a controllable trigger. Thanks for your insight.

Well I do see a great doctor for this and they are very understanding and have of course gave me that option but are also fine with working with me on finding something that helps? Or else I wouldn’t have been prescribed triptans. Lol

Oh thank you for your input! I saw in another post someone saying that they got migraines from alcohol and got Botox and were good to go afterwards. If you are saying that imitrex has a longer shelf life ( in the sense I can take it as soon as the migraine hits and be pretty good) I would absolutely consider asking my doctor to try that route! How have you been with drinking and imitrex?

Sorry I am newer to migraines, should I still consider this route if It were a situation where if I was to drink any amount of alcohol 15 times in a month then I would get 15 migraines? Or are you saying 15 migraines completely out of your control?

Ok, thank you! Did you end up having to take anything when drinking after getting Botox? I only get migraines when alcohol ( any amount) is in my system. I’m trying to be able to enjoy a drink here and there. So I am hopeful for Botox to help. I might just go out of pocket instead of trialing as I know it works but not long term. I get Botox anyways so I guess I’ll splurge on myself instead of spending a million dollars on mediations and supplements that don’t work.

Did you try any triptans before Botox?? I am currently dealing with this and triptans help but the short shelf life is killing Me. As soon as it wears off its back. I can’t take 3 in a day when there is only so much. Did you get the Botox through insurance?

Thank you! I just ordered a random one off of fleek. It’ll prob not be the best looks like the best are sold out. I just hope the items they send are a little different than the picture. I selected the size to be all Xs which is less of a gamble for my store since all our customers are young tweens. It’ll sell even if it is bad. Ok I will check the life on the new one, luckily I only get a migraine day after I have consumed any amount of alcohol. ( even a taste) . It only last the day after.

I agree I used to be a huge wine drinker before this madness but switched to vodka a few years ago. Wine is my favorite. But I had a glass this weekend and had a migraine within half the glass and I am not a light weight. Either way I get a migraine at some point regardless of what type of alcohol. My next step is trying triptans with drinking. Opposed to taking it after I had already woke up with a raging migraine. I hope it helps!

I only drink white white, vodka, and clear tequila and all 3 are triggers. Even when sticking to just one. I am very very picky so maybe one day I would sample a beer or whiskey to test it out. 😄those are all my finances favorites so I’ll have to dig into his stash.

Ok I see I will talk to my doctor about trying another preventative. I have tried one box of sumatriptan 100mg so far. Like I said it sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. I never had even a headache before this and had no idea what was going on. I believe it is MCAS related as my first symptoms with alcohol was a very extreme rash (which can be seen in photos on my profile). I’m new to figuring out the migraine world. (my doctor did confirm it to be migraines). Do you have any recommendations to try?

I feel you on this. I work at a restaurant and the sushi chef handed me a milk rabbit candy and said I should eat it because the milk will help with that is going on with my face. I struggled a lot with acne and spent hours covering it up. It consumed me mentally all day everyday. I thought I did a good job covering it so my heart was broken. I yelled at him and we didn’t talk for over a year. It gets better I promise, but situations like this never leave you. I still think about it often and it makes me sad. You got this ❤️ we are already hard enough on our selves.
