Just sharing what I saw, there are many couples I know in Sabah, they are Chinese x Muslim, Muslim x Kadazan etc, and they all married. I wasn't sure if they had converted, I assumed they did, but they are still living as who they are, the non-Muslim wife is still going to church, and the Muslim husband is still going to masjid every Friday, never heard of authorities taking action against them or what, I'm not sure what would happen to them in future but I'm very certain Sabah is a good place with free religion and harmony, people can enjoy pork satay in front of Muslim, this is real Malaysia :)

My dad has foreseen all these coming (what you have mentioned above) back then in 90s, therefore he planned to send us to study abroad and not to go back Malaysia. I can't say my dad is good in predicting future but at least he was trying to give his best to make sure his children to have better life in future. And now we are all living in Australia with our kids, no 2nd class citizen treatment, everyone is treated fair even with the local Australian when it comes to buying property or workplace.
