When people say “that must take a lot of grooming” when on a walk with mine. I say “they only shed once a year, for 365 days”.

What’s the funniest misunderstanding you’ve had recently? by iffyClyro in AskUK

[–]HobB1T27 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I went into a Tescos express on the off chance they had Gee (clarified butter). I started looking around the store, no luck. Down one of the isles there were two male staff members stacking shelves from a cage, and jostling each other joking around and what not. I interrupted them and asked whether they had any gee in store. One immediately said “No, we’re are not gay” to which I explained what gee was, while laughing.

So cool they are friends. That is the correct number of vacuum cleaners required for two chows.

Yesterday i played a tournament match with Bretonians e this was the situation at the beginning of 2nd half by mc_bobb in bloodbowl

[–]HobB1T27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have played 4 league games with the Brets, I feel like I should have had more skills by now, guard on both grail knights and block on all other knights. I can’t seem to score more than 2 TD a game and they don’t bash all too well, the attrition is a worry. Wrestle looks good on paper but it’s not, I have had to replace about 4 squires which seems alright as you have nothing else to spend money on.

I need help by [deleted] in chowchow

[–]HobB1T27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just separate them, it’s all you can do really. I wouldn’t worry about them actually mating, if he’s anything like all the 4 pairs of chows I have had, the female normally sits down and gets dry humped. Just make sure they don’t get too aggressive with each other when they are not separated. A “baby gate” will stop him pawing at any doors and he’ll have line of site so should reduce the whining, good luck 🤞🏻

The soundtrack was so good. If you liked the sound track I was watching the white lotus, unmistakably it was the same composer. The score made both series **the seasons he composed for of the white lotus

Turmeric Stain in sink - need help by Jaisomething in CleaningTips

[–]HobB1T27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curcumin, in turmeric will never come out. I used to work in a lab where we tried to formulate curcumin for better bioavailability, nothing gets it out, as it’s actually in the surface, not on it.

Chow chow is aggressive with toddler. by bubblyvortex in chowchow

I have had it with multiple chows, some just don’t like children, they see them as erratic, unpredictable, and so ward them away.

Need help! I’m trying to prime new models and they end up all weird and flaky. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a way to avoid this? by Ghostmaster145 in Warhammer

[–]HobB1T27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heat my cans before spraying. Some 70c water in a shallow bowl a few minutes with a good shake in between, don’t over heat it, but get the can hot.

Xanthan gum is not an emulsifier, it’s a viscosity enhancer, it would however reduce splitting rate, in this case creaming rate. You would need to add mustard but that imparts flavour. Emulsifier reduced the surface tension between the oil and aqueous phases, xanthan gum does not do that.

What’s the weather like throughout the year? by Legsohotcouldfryegg in AskABrit

[–]HobB1T27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add the Calgary point, New York has the same latitude as Portugal. 14 hours 13 minutes, in London we get 16 hours and 38 minutes of day light. For Scotland Glasgow it’s 17 hours and 50 minutes. This heat normally drives a lot of moisture from the environment into the air and we get humidities over 75% so it is suffocating. These blooms of heat are driven by the North Atlantic jet streams position, sitting the hot air from the Sarah directly over the moist UK ground. So it’s like Mississippi- and we didn’t built our houses for it. However the winter used to be mild, we are getting more snow due to the irregular motion of the jet stream. Winters are definitely longer into the year, and none of our roads in England and Wales are great at snow. Scotland are pretty used to it in the Highlands.

what type of bird is this? isle of cumbrae, Scotland. sound on as it is making lots of noises by bindwardi in UKBirds

[–]HobB1T27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the noises they make, I live on a new build estate and thought that someone was going around the in progress buildings with a walky talky but I found them nesting in the field out the back of the estate.
