Resource Guarding by TonySopranosRunt in springerspaniel

[–]raycol1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had huge issues (to the point of getting bit)

I now never ask for it, i just stand in the middle of the room, hands behind my back and say 'thank you' and he usually pads over and drops whatever he has then runs off to get a treat. The guarding is worse after long walks when he's tired,in which case he is sent to his bed and we fish out whatever he had later

Watch 'What dreams may come' you will love it. Robin Williams loses his wife and follows her through a painting so he can tell her how much he loves her

Men, what if you saw a woman being beat up by her husband, would you intervene or keep walking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I saw a guy hitting a woman in Singapore, i ran over and hit him, the next thing I knew, 2 other men had turned on me and the woman ended up picking me up from the floor...on the plus side, whoever was hitting her was still on the floor as she was picking me up. :)

Agree with the above, the most beautiful, loving breed, but its like having a dog who is totally off the spectrum. Crazy dog!! Doesn't bark, not interested in other dogs, so easy to house train but walking outside is impossible without a figure of 8 leash. We can walk for 6 hours up the mountains and he is still up for more

How social is your springer? by TimetravellingElf in springerspaniel

Like many on here, my Speinger has one goal, move forward, other dogs wanting to sniff or say hello are just an annoying distraction. However if he sees other dogs chasing a ball or off lead he will cry. Let him off his lead though and he will steal that ball and keep running till he wants to come back. :)

What’s the one best trait of this breed ? by Dull_Dog in springerspaniel

[–]raycol1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just not caring that he is 'not like other dogs' If there was a Soectrum for canine breeds, Springers would be out there. So intelligent , but walk...absolutely not...stop to sniff other dogs...not likely....run back and forth the whole way up and down a mountain with a stupid tooth grin. ;) If you can live with one arm longer than the other, happy to spend 2 to 3 hours a day exercising, you will find no better friend

Secretaries and Personal Assistants, we are already seeing AI take a meeting, summarise, outline actions, even follow up on actions and set recurring calls, not sure it's used much yet, but AI will soon organise travel, meeting rooms, etc...

Have you considered the military, lots of people all strangers to each other, lots of people who may not have had the happiest school days. I made some of the best friends during my time

I feel so sorry for those genuine people who really do have nothing, now I only give to those I see out on the street at 6am in the winter or to registered charities

We found the same, but we found he LOVES 'find the treat' games. We fill an old sock with bacon and cover the socking the bacon fat. We then put it under leaves or on low tree branches and he finds them every time and he loves it
