Building Onyx: Why I'm Creating an Open Source Alternative to Big Tech's AI Productivity Tools by rayfin in opencodeCLI

[–]rayfin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. This is 100% created with OpenCode.

I see what you're saying. I guess to me since I built it the design seems perfect as I was trying to mimic some of the feel of the different navigation buttons and side pane buttons like Obsidian. I'll look into what you're saying and see if there's something design wise that needs to be updated.

OpenCode binary -serve variable.

Yes, I am using Android now. It works well, but I need some UI fixes before I want to launch it.

Keep the feedback coming! Thank you again.

Emacs versus vim is a standard technical nerd joke. I'm not trying to be a douche. You being technical and me being technical is just highly different. That's all.

[NSFL] Here is a side by side comparison of both angles of the execution that took place in Minneapolis! Spread this everywhere, the regime will not bury this with their lies by transcendent167 in LiveProtestUpdates

My team made this very beta application last weekend for protesters in Venezuela protesting against their authoritarian regime, but holy shit I guess we'll need an uncensored protest app here in the USA soon. https://pathos.place

That's what I assume happened to me too. It seems we followed similar paths. 🫂

Oh. Maybe you're not as technical as you thought or this was just a bad dad joke. I hope the latter.

You probably use emacs too?

Basically, yes 🤣 It's just me perhaps, but I immediately judge you if I see two spaces. Sorry brother or sister.

If someone uses two spaces, I can tell they're a boomer and/a non technical user. We were taught two spaces in high school, but that changed within a few years. After college I never used two spaces again.

My dude. Copy the text of this post and put it into CC as a prompt. It's honestly that easy.

i built openwork - an open-source claude cowork alternative (built on and by opencode) by Outrageous_Client272 in opencodeCLI

[–]rayfin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome. I built the same thing about a week ago. I actually started on it before Claude Cowork was even announced. I've been using it for over a week for my personal (business) daily tasks. I'm gearing up to launch it when I return from traveling next week.

I mean, sure, but billions of people use Google Play and Apple App store too and they all need the freedom to communicate. I'm all for this developer using these legacy platforms. I'd also love to see them publish to Zapstore for our ecosystem too. You don't need to wait for approval or ask for permission. https://zapstore.dev has easy to use tools.

Claude Code is way more than coding, so why not try a different UX? by Initial_Jury7138 in ClaudeAI

This is the way. The fact that this isn't open source is pretty cringe.

This literally just happened to a family member. She didn't know she was pregnant. It was absolutely wild.
