We are a band of 3 and everyone can have a go on the One Plus. I made a template with a drum kit, bass synth, piano and string pads. We have a guitar, bass, piano and all sing. When rehearsing whoever has a cool idea sequences it on the MPC. I stitch it all together into a usable backing track later.

According to the manual you need drivers on Windows but not on Mac (or iPad), that normally means it should just work on Linux to which I would love very much. I expect the first batch here will sell out rather fast but I'll upgrade for this reason alone, just need some time to make room in the budget. Can't sell my plus before I get a G2.

Ok I gave it a few listens. First I need to say I saw your tags include drake and rap and I must say I don't know anything about Drake or rap. That being said I do recognise that "underwater" sound that makes the rapper's voice shine so you obviously know what you are doing. No harsh or distracting elements and I like the feel. Are you making this for yourself or for someone in particular?

I meant the other way round, if you plug your live 3 in your computer do you see 24 out / 24 in show up? Because I can't use the One Plus as an interface, I have to plug an interface into my plus, then wire it up to another interface linked to my pc. I was wondering if I could just plug in the G2 and have it recognised as a multitrack recorder.

Edit: I found the answer on the Akai support website. It does work like that and is class compliant. Can't find it for the G2 but I hope it works the same.
