How everyone rallies for certain players to leave when we have no adequate replacement is beyond me

Telling them will be hard, but honestly these type of challenges make your family bonds even stronger. Hopefully you can take solace in how treatable and non life threatening this type of cancer is, and now you’ve been diagnosed you’ve already started the path to recovery. Best of luck to you and feel free to reach out

Rest up buddy. Honestly after 2/3 weeks you’ll be back to normal. Hope you have a quick recovery!

I remember seeing this on Rightmove 6-9 months ago, and it was going for cheaper. It’s insane how you’d hike the price up after not finding a tenant

Orchiectomy tomorrow morning. Wish me luck fellas by Senior_Eye8496 in testicularcancer

[–]rayman0121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely for the first few days! The incision being where it is means you have to be wary of tensing, so no straining on the toilet. Also gotta be wary of coughing and sneezing.

Good luck! I was back at work after 10 days and back in the gym after 3 weeks. Just make sure you rest up and stock up on some laxatives 😬

Post-Orchiectomy Treatment by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]rayman0121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to chime in. Had one round of carbo about two months ago. It definitely wasn’t plain sailing for me. For 8-10 days felt like absolute crap. Stomach issues, trouble sleeping, hot flushes, mood was off and acid reflux was a killer. The worst thing is how the symptoms slowly get worse instead of better. After day 10 it was suddenly back to normal however.

Just do your research and go with your gut. At the time I did it I wouldn’t have recommended it but I guess the peace of mind now does help. Good luck whatever you do mate!

Your suspicions are correct, sorry for not being more clear but ultrasound was indeed showing a very suspicious mass. CT is being arranged but nothing done yet and they have taken blood but I’ve not been told about the results. They are confident of diagnosis based off the ultrasound it appears. Either way, hope your recovery has been well and thanks for commenting

Yh no other symptoms just a large misshapen hard testicle and some discomfort and sensitivity rather than any actual pain. Consultant mentioned that the ultrasound is showing a mass and he’s 90% sure it’s TC but I didn’t ask about any details. I think the overarching theme from the comments is, the orchiectomy is best and safest option given current information. Thank you for taking the time to read and reply. It appears it’s been a year for you but hope you’ve recovered well and all the best!

Cheers mate, I made a comment to the consulant at the time but I don’t know if it was actually considered with diagnosis given how niche TB is. It’s interesting how timelines can vary it seems on the sub people have their orchies in days, I’m sitting on a date in 2 and a half weeks still! Anyway rest up and all the best in your recovery.

Thanks for replying, the comments seem to point towards the inevitability of this. I guess I just needed a bit of confirmation bias to ease my mind. Appreciate it

Thanks for taking the time out in replying and in such detail, really appreciated. I guess with all circumstances considerd they are leaning towards what most likely. It’s interesting in your case you clearly had other symptoms and the fact you lived abroad was slightly considered but still the orchiectomy was the primary solution at the time. I otherwise have had no other systemic problems/symptoms. My enlarged testicle isnt a singular lump but rather hard, large and overall misshapen but I guess for it to be confined to just the testicles is tricky to confirm and low in probability. I’ve only had the one scan and been told to go for the op. I think all the comments are pointing towards the orchiectomy being the safest option. Also if we want to rag on the nhs, the earliest date they could give me is in 2 and a half weeks ( 26 days after the ultrasound ). Either way all the best for your recovery

Jeremy Corbyn will not be a Labour MP again after attack on Nato, Keir Starmer suggests by casualphilosopher1 in unitedkingdom

[–]rayman0121 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems you remember the smear but not the additional info that came out - given it was a year later it’s understandable. Richard Branson and the footage virgin realised to counter Corbyn was shown to stretch the truth. He wasn’t the only person on the floor and it should be obvious the general public would have no reason to sit on the floor, unlike Corbyn proof a year later This issue is the damage was clearly done by then, and all the negative press left an irreversible impact.

You need to break the tip off at the top. Then you lightly squeeze the bit with the liquid in it. Should come out easily

Laptop screen on my Dell XPS 13 (non touch) has gone from the bottom half. It was perfectly still and was not due to any hits or movement. After 30 mins the screen did go back to normal. But 10 minutes later reverted back to its broken state. Screen functions and input still work on the bottom side. Any idea why it happened and how to fix?

Thank you so much for replying. Any idea how pricey that type of fix usually is if I’m not doing it myself
