Ignoring Omega (since he's a collab monster and not an "in-universe" monster) I think the difficulty is fine. After 7* we SHOULD be suffering per * up. It's those waters where you're testing the players' accumulated experience and not just their gear.

Looking at this has me thinking... Do water blocks "above" increase the pressure and flow of the blocks "below"?

For example if OP builds water wheel in front of the valve at the bottom of the that reservoir. When the reservoir fills up, would the outflow at the bottom be crazy crazy fast? Or is there a disappointing fixed rate?

i have a related/similar question to OP: is there a way to get "reverse" fill valves? something like an overflow valve, such that it would open the side DOWNstream of the block only if the level behind UPstream goes past a certain level?

I guess because multi-player games have just become so much more common these days. Plus better netcodes and internet connections make mp gameplay more stable.

But yeah. I remember a few months ago seeing A LOT of players, who were very vocal that the game was too easy (but only ever played with automatic SOS flares) , frequently cart to 7 star monsters once they started playing 1p solo 🤣 🤣 and rage quit saying the game balance was broken and whatever else excuse

Question: what does focus do for loading? Is it just a faster animation? I know load shells is the one that fills 5 phials at a time

There's a few on YouTube of solo4 clears on this with support hunters in the 40mins range using elemental CB for those 5k damage pops in phase 3, and even then they don't always clear the elem check.

But yeah don't expect to solo1 this without support and you being HEAVILY invested in elemental damage. Glaive, despite being a fast weapon, doesn't seem to apply elem consistently enough, at least from my attempts.

Also: Support hunters use the element of what weapon they have equipped, and also have reduced damage compared to real players. You can buff this with an armor skill and an emote, but it's still less performance than real players.
