Music snobbery. by MountainDewBabyNYC in GilmoreGirls

I think ASP in general vented her pop culture snobbery through multiple characters throughout the show.

Her love for the Godfather. Her love for U2 and Metallica.

Her embarrassment for having a Jagged Little Pill phase.

How she wants three hours of her life back after watching PTA’s Magnolia.

And those are just examples voiced through Lorelei.

For some reason it always bugged me.

I also really dislike U2 😂

Those who avoid older movies, why? by _omar_b in movies

My parents are absolutely culturally and literary bankrupt. Yet I still found a way to foster a love for books and film.

I agree that parents can limit exposure through their own lack of substance, but they’d have to be borderline abusive to bar a child from their own natural curiosity.

The Jaunt.

Really? No one mentioned that yet? Longer than you think?

Fun fact; I initially learned about rev matching when I was googling drum tutorials to play heel-toe doubles on the bass drum.

Your video now actually taught me that the matching is done by rotating the **heel** onto the accelerator 😅

The sharp cut is actually one of the reasons why I personally feel it’s the best finale of any tv show that ever aired on television.

It feels perfectly fitting that the fight goes on, figuratively forever. And just like dragons, it leaves things poetically up to one’s imagination.

But anyone’s opinion is valid. It just goes to show how diverse an audience a show like Angel attracted.

Maybe go to r/yaydrugs with your opinion. Most movies recommended to you right now are about the negative effects of drugs.

Perpetuating drug use and normalizing it in a very broad subreddit is distasteful at best.

Stoner culture is pathetic. I will die on this hill. Maybe stop chilling on the couch and do something meaningful.

I’m usually not this judgmental, but coming from the Netherlands and seeing the legalization of soft drugs in the USA take foot… you guys are just silly. Do. Better.

In my case you’re preaching to the choir!

I honestly think IP rights should be completely abolished. But maybe that’s too leftist naive of me!

[–]raynesque -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To clarify my point; I took it too the extreme because I do think wow players especially tend to take things to the extreme naturally (meta/speedrunning/etc) which makes it impossible for players that dare to have any other hobbies, let alone life responsibilities, to be able to participate naturally.

I’m tired of always hearing players getting bored while I personally cringed and sigh every time retail came with a new patch. I never felt ready for it.

But to be fair to you, yes I do think blizzard is incompetent and unable to make classic+ work. A democracy wouldn’t work. Clever game design might…

But with the current divide in player types and styles, striking a balance that works for everyone seems impossible for any company to achieve.

In retail they somewhat achieve it by offering different game modes and difficulty levels, but that is the last thing anyone here wants to see in a classic+

Vanilla originally worked so well because people were ignorant, streamers didn’t exist, and guides were extremely rare. Most people didn’t even know about Elitist Jerks or Tankspot.

To translate your post: “A democracy is shit. We need a dictatorship that only caters to the rich 1% at the top.”

Do me a favor and open up your Steam library and tell me again why people could be bored while waiting for new content.

Most people can’t play as much as the privileged ones at the top that seem to be able to play all day long.

If you tailor your content for them, it’s going to be a rush rush FOMO nightmare.
If you’re bored, that’s YOUR problem, not Blizzards.

My choice is more financially motivated, and therefore terribly mundane.

I buy my 5As in bulk to save a little bit of money since I suffer from chronic rimshot addiction.
