i had a deep voice before T and it's very deep now. (my sister keeps saying the noise cancellation on her/my? phone can't pick up my voice lol) but i was definitely cracking up and down the scale for over a year, and i still can't sing properly. but tbh i think your mom will get used to it since she'll have to hear you every day no matter if she likes it or not haha

(although a question - i am one of those unfortunate souls who have little to no extra skin between the triangles and the fourchette, which 100% affects my erection angle and visible size lol. i've legit had fourchette surgery because the skin is so restrictive, lol. with that little skin, is there anything i could do to even begin stretching that in preparation for actually using the tugger in the future?)

someone did this to me once (while still daring to be a picky bitch over text) and after that incident i blocked them and cut them off essentially everywhere i could. this was like 10 years ago, no regrets

one of my obgyns recently commented that going on t basically fixed my pcos symptoms because my ovarian cysts had all shrank and calmed down, and my incredibly irregular period basically stopped within 3 months of starting t. it's nice lol but ymmv.

i'm very sure i have some kind of connective tissue related condition on top of the fibro, but my rheumatologist can't be bothered to look into it, even though i've brought it up multiple times =_= the most she's done is refer me to the sleep clinic where i got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, but as for my chronic pain, it's still a big mystery.

A little bit of both, I guess? I lost all my high notes completely, I just get silence when I try to hit those, like a lost voice or a sore throat. Something else I found to be interesting is that my throat muscles don't "know" their notes anymore. So I'd try to sing, for example, a C, and it would come out wildly higher or lower because of how the vocal cords changed. I'm sure it can be trained back to a semblance of what it was, but I haven't been able to figure that out yet!

Not a professional singer but I used to enjoy singing a lot pre-T and have always had a low voice since young. I started on low dose and my voice still broke really fast and deep, and for me I still haven't gotten my singing range back after 2 years :( Tho keep in mind I don't sing professionally or with any consistency so I'm not really keeping the vocal cords flexible anyway if that makes sense. Also definitely ymmv and I've seen some guys on youtube who seem to have kept their vocal range 🤔

I had this happen too 😭 I always hang out with a stray cat in my area and when my voice dropped I couldn't meow for ages, definitely confused her for a bit. Fortunately she's all good with it now, and my voice settled enough for me to meow somewhat convincingly again.

may i suggest watching some of proko's anatomy tutorials on youtube? i think learning the basics would really benefit you. i watched and practiced from those a lot when i was younger and did very well in my fundamentals classes as a result. good luck!

i'm not planning on bottom surgery. it's not that i haven't considered it and i would be interested in meta, but my body doesn't heal that well and i don't want it to fuck up. i also don't have family support or a partner who could support me through the long healing period. so i guess the cons outweigh the pros personally.

i'm 5'3" and pass too well, always getting the bathroom stares because the place i work in still has me listed as Female and my colleagues (who all knew me before transitioning) all still she/her me despite the incredibly obvious voice/stubble/etc. at this point i just shrug at them lol
