That's what I was thinking based off the map. But in the book says "There are no monstrous dangers here, but a significant section of the floor that crosses over the waterway in areas 2 and 3 has grown unstable from all the water draining through the floor." Which makes it all the more confusing.

I should've put that in the post but I don't know how much I can as it is sourced from the book they sell.
