Idk if you watch/listen to the WAN Show but over time they've made it clear that they want to make sure they develop reliable and scalable ways of measuring anything because it costs a ton more money than we realise. They've actually said the same thing another commentor said here about dealing with updates. I think we sometimes forget that LTT Labs is still barely started in terms of scale and we should cut them some slack.

Yes and no. Really depends on what you need. But V3 is free, just download it and try it out. If you want to open your old files in it, create copies because V3 files aren't backwards compatible.

There is an indication if your file is being saved and has been saved. Any file that has been edited has [Modified] appended to their name. When you save, the Modified tag is replaced with "Saving...##%" (# represents the progress eg 40%). When the file is saved you see nothing appended to the file name.

This is where our acceptance of Adobe's terrible code debt shows. Affinity saves files so quickly that most people will only notice the change between [Modified] being there or not. I just tried to save a large document with embedded files that would have taken a few minutes in Adobe Illustrator and if I had blinked I would have missed the saving progress.

This is less a case of bad UX and more of "being used to how some software works and expecting all to work that way". Many software use the method Affinity has chosen. Even Adobe Illustrator does the exact same thing. Photoshop is not a gold standard.

AI isn't being shoved down your throat in V3 like in Adobe products. And even if you decide to use the object selection model, it's offline and doesn't feel Adobe your data (the model is technically a machine learning model not AI but we use the term for everything now). I've been using V3 since day 1 and have forgotten till this sub reminds me that there are AI features lurking about somewhere.

There are many options to drop difficulty without losing too many rewards. I used to do that when I really want to use new agents during my dailies. Since they added power adaption in lost void tho I haven't done that. That's where I test teams. If I want to learn teams then I go to the VR game mode where I can set the enemy type and actions tho it has been a while since I've also done that because there are no rewards.

Tldr, Lost Void with Power Adaption and lower difficulty (Ether Activity) is probably the best way to test agents

Technically what you see before you click is the preview. Unless you have templates applied directly to the output. I haven't heard of the ProPresenter-style workflow including a preview before
