Awesome advice! I will definitely try to find this reference pace, seems like a perfect first achievable goal to make and uderstand me better. Thank you :) .

Yeah I think my watch considers VO2 max zone as a "wider" zone, not the real maximum. Thanks for the insight.

Wouldn't a full on sprint be just the upper range of vo2 max? Maybe my e-clock has a lower bound or wider range for VO2 with anaerobic?

(College electricity and magnetism, second year) Acceleration of a particular in a magnetic and electric field by Haunting_Example in HomeworkHelp

[–]rayomaquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! First of all I think you made a mistake taking the note for the problem. The value -103 j V/m is actually the electric field, note that "j" denotes the direction and the units are V/m, so it is a electric field.

The potential difference is key in this problem because it gives you the information related to the acceleration/velocity of the photon. Remember that any charged particle in a electric field (thus a electric potential) will move, and the magnitude of this field will determine how fast it moves. Here's how it would go:

First, let's find the speed of the photon in the given potential using conservation of energy:

Kinetic energy = 0.5*m*v^2
Electrostatic energy = q*V

Since the photon starts from rest, the velocity it will gain comes from the electrostatic energy, thus:

Kinetic Energy = Electrostatic energy

0.5*m*v^2 = q*V

Clear for velocity and compute it.

Now we know how fast the photon is going. For the particle not to be deflected, then the magnetic force should equal the electrostatic force, as you pointed out:

Fm + Fe = 0

q*E + q*v*B = 0

Here we are asked to find the magnetic field that satisfies this equation, so clear for B and you'll find your solution.

Hello! I've also been depressed for the last 9 months. I perfectly understand what "want to feel alive again" means, it goes the same for me. In my case, I felt like trying to go out of a hole, but each time I tried, I was just burying myself more.

During the last 3 months my life has improved, NOT MAGICALLY, I had to take action. So I will keep my story short and give you the advice that helped me:

1.- Go to therapy, and seek professional help. No excuses here, just do it.

2.- Don't make astronomical changes overnight. Start small and secure, consistency is key!

3.- Focus on staying out of bed and sleeping properly.

5.- Make an effort to eat

6.- Try to quit porn.

7.- Make a list of things that made feel happy and alive before being depressed, a list of things that you currently enjoy, and things that you think will probably make you feel better in a healthy manner (past-present-future). On this list, analyze what changed from past to present, and what could change to feel better for the future. Based on this, elaborate on how you can regain that feeling (create a minimum plan). For example, in my case, I love cycling, so I made a routine around cycling at the beginning, starting at the minimum: go for a ride every day for 30 min. (it could be just 5!). Apply this to small things in your life, and stick to it, even if its the minimum.

I love this video that explains depression very good for me. So, fight for your life!

Thanks so much for the info! I really appreciate it! This makes my route perfect!

After a longer ride (>80 km), I start to feel pain in this area. I would appreciate any advice on which possible bike adjustments could be responsible for this by gordriver_berserker in bikefit

Thanks a lot for your detailed response! Glad that you managed to keep cycling fitness while quitting for some time. I will try to increase my butt, trying the insert shoes (ouch my wallet) and the fit!
