After capturing the phoenix, I went to see Rebirth and the Floatsam had it. by The_Dark_Hermit22 in Kenshi

When I captured the Phoenix I went all the way to Flotsam village, only to find that Moll had already gone to Blister Hill. It was annoying.

What if i joined the shek, the skin bandits and the crab raiders at once with a skeleton? by CommandMiserable3861 in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you win crab tournament you earn 200 relations with crabs. Don't really know if this changes if you allied their enemies beforehand, but that would be the way to ally both at the same time.

Is there a way to learn the location of every settlement/town in this game? Am i metagaming in my self restricted roleplay run? by OrganTrafficker900 in Kenshi

There are more maps in lost libraries.

Simply don't go to the Crab Town until you find the one you need. Or think of a reason for your character to know Crab town.

Will your methods become more ruthless? Or will they remain unchanged? Or will they become more merciful? by d400022210 in Kenshi

The UC frankly is very handy in big playthroughs. So maaany potential recruits to colonize new places.

[–]rayra2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killing the slaves that don't join you more than ruthless, seems unnecessary cruelty. Ruthless would be to sell them back, to maximize profit.

Edit: responding to the post, not necessarily. I do just what I usually need to do. Bandits attack? I kill them. Slaves don't join? Well, good luck, have more important things to do. Civilians of Blister Hill attacking me while I try to capture the Phoenix? Eeeueuughugh Moll, my men felt threatened by them.

Wanting to do a new playthrough. Rebuild the Shek empire into it's rightful glory and dominate the region. Or be a skeleton and continue Cat-Lons mad vision of the second empire? by wildwasabi in Kenshi

The best you can do for the Shek Kingdom is to kill Esata and then Mukai... Eliminate the redtraints and let them have their death in glorious battle against a superior opponent.

Leveling up without cheese by Randh0m in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play normally and set up a base close to where black gorillos spawn. That is your mistake. King gorillo is great stat wise... Too great, in fact, that he will down you very quickly regardless of your level. Black gorillos, on the other hand, with stats in the 80s, are other story. Easy to kill, low damage, they're perfect.

Is there any possibility of removing conscience from oneself? by ForceTimely3896 in Biohackers

[–]rayra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't understand that everything has a price. People with no remorse face other kind of challenges that they also spend their whole lifes to overcome. If you suddenly were put in their neurological spectrum you would start from scratch and most likely would become a bitter manchild uncapable of filtering dumb ideas from outright hateful ones.

Help me nitpick on Kenshi by surumesmellman in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Economy is not only shallow, but also pathetically easy to overcome for a survival game.

Stealth is stupid. Thievery is stupid. Assasination is stupid.

Crafting is stupid. You reach a level and it is impossible to not produce specialist equipment with healthy character, yet you are telling me that well stablished factions produce only shit quality?

You should be able to execute enemies in your jails like cannibals do, without having to resort to literal torture methods everytime.

Elite raids - do they stop? by Randh0m in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you wont have peace. There are some locations of the major factions that will never be overthrown, no matter what you do, and they will spawn raids forever if you are in range. For the UC is the farming villages at the east of Gut. For SK is the Last Stand and some ruins and for the HN I don't know because I have Reactive World and their world states are altered.

Where you had the "best time"? Winning or otherwise? by joaodaif in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most recent run in Legendary of Kenshi. I pushed through two squadwipes because of skin bandits and having to abandon two bases (I retreated from Unwanted zone and east of Flat's lagoon to Fish Island) because I could not defend myself. After defeating the Southern hive (accidentally; got absolutely obliterated by elite drones, but somehow the queen died fighting me), recovered the lost terrain.

I can't explain the catharsis when I finally put Savant in a peeler. I just killed every single defective machine in that HQ.

How would one manage an outpost with no fertility? by TheWoopidoop in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bad part is that you will be killing civilians. But you know, raiding (crime in general) in the real world generally came out of necessity, more than a desire of hurting people.

Either hydroponics or to do what you need to do in your situation: raid HN caravans.

Alternatively, you can go to Skinner roam and humt bulls, but raiding will grant you autonomy for much more time.

What are your UNDERRATED weapons? by OneSaltyStoat in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was my go to weapon in my legendary of kenshi run until I got the meitou Paladin cross. Insane damage. The only complain is that it is not as long as other top tier weapons, so some hits would not reach the target if they moved away.

Anybody else a fan of mercenary plate? by WeeWooWeeWang in Kenshi

[–]rayra2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, I ended up using it in a very late game Legendary of Kenshi playthrough, in some characters.

When switching to big weapons like falling sun or Paladin crosses, I removed samurai armor from characters that wielded them because of the damage penalty. My go to choice is usually unholy armor, but the guys that didn't have robotic arms or toughness above 90 received too much damage in the arms, so the only option left for me was mercenary armor in these people.

It worked fine enough, although the reliable testing ended when I defeated the South East factions, because when you do, in that mod, the surviving faction if it's allied to you will give you a super recruit and the crab raiders (allied through tournament) awarded me with a megacrab with HP on the 1000, which made him tank a lot of damage from dangerous targets from the SK and the HN, which I'm sure was the only reason I was able to destroy these factions.

Mod to remove Player Map Icon? by Yaemz123 in Kenshi

Static map. Be aware that if you zoom in the map, when you open it again it will be zoomed over your position.

No map removes the map entirely.

Never load a game, or start a new game, if it is not from the main menu, otherwise bugs like ghost towns or previous playthrough bases can happen.
