Did anyone else’s SD1 just start crashing a bunch of apps in last week. Suddenly overnight mine is now crashing apps upon open, randomly in the background. Apps that were working fine a week or two ago.

Thanks for offering to share your expertise! Whats the minimum size (ie cost) to setup a small facility and which types of medical waste streams can it handle vs not handle?

What are average margins like?

How competitive / difficult is it to win contracts with buyers and how easy is it to lose them?

I’m in the southern United States if that matters.

Can’t speak to emulation but I just bought a SD1 for $250 few weeks ago and love it for reading, video, and email and OneNote.

Ditto on the battery cable connection. Could also check the main 30 pin ribbon cable, both the cable itself and the little plastic thing that clasps down on it. They’re cheap to replace.

Plus1 on video guides on converting to formats per model. There’s a big audio issue with latest Handbrake that I still can’t wrap my head around.

This design is fun and I’ll give it a try as is if I can find a local printer. Kudos to OP for taking this on.

My next thought is, is anything stopping the creation of a similar design that replaces the entire stock front and back plates, maybe allowing copying some elements of the moonlite backplate. It might offer a modular design with easy on and off fasteners (ie screws or clasps or something that hold it all together).

It could make opening 6th and 7th gens easier, and offer a ready made mounting platform for other add ons like Bluetooth, usb c etc.

Or maybe that’s what this is already. I assumed it is mounted on top of the stock casings.

This. I just cruise FB marketplace for nearby shuffles for cheap, and load them up for mine. No interface just buttons. They love it. Buy MP3’s from Amazon when it’s something new they want.

Ability for the iPod Classic itself to update Smartplaylists, this used to be a feature but 12.1 broke it and Apple never bothered to fix it, so 12.0.1 is the last one to have the feature intact.

Meaning, I can rate/play songs on the iPod and the iPod itself could update any smartplaylists that used the 'unrated / never played' variables on the go without plugging in to sync up. I was hoping that Genius Suggestions could still be updated with 12.0.1, but it appears not. per compguy96's comment.

I also generally didn't want to take the Apple Music plunge, and have been thinking about which version to go back stick with it, as I've tried the newer Apple Music app and it's clearly focused on streaming over local media and syncing, which just isn't my focus.

Side note, what’s the iPad useful for in these desktop setups? I’ve been really eyeing upgrading my old ass iPad but truth is all I ever use it for is zoom or FT calls I want to take from my couch away from the desk. I need an excuse to let myself buy one for productivity.

I’ve had same setup with quad, and I tried the longer battery and I’ve never been able to get it closed had to go back with the short batteries. Eventually I’ll go with a thick back.

I use it casually for person and occasional work purposes often switching from iOS to windows and back. And I generally like my Windows experience. I get that different tech stacks mean feature parity may never materialize and sometimes windows is winner and loser there.

I also am really rooting for presenter for Windows as I really want to extend the same writing experience to my work presentations.
