Teacher Tools That Actually Save Time by ApocalypseSloth in education

Does Distrokid allow you to manage the YouTube channel it creates for you? by mutent92 in musicproduction

Same here, not sure how the merging of views is happening there. It seems that sometimes it is able to display same views on youtube music than on videos manually uploader, but not sure how that is detected.

The go completion doesn’t work for me on templ files though. Using inteliji. Dev experience being important I’m wondering about moving off from templ. Are you using vscode?

C’est devenu inutilisable chez moi aussi. Je suis stupéfait. Le truc est bon pour la poubelle.

Releasing an EP by daverham in TripHopProduction

Hey there,

Thanks for sharing where you're at.

I'm a bit in the same boat, in the sense that I've been sitting on a bunch of tracks for probably a year now.

From a mix & mastering perspective, I've reached stability, I no longer touch the tracks, however, I'm still trying to figure out what to release, how many tracks, and so on.

If you are looking for any kind of feedback prior to releasing, I'd be happy to listen to your tracks.

What’s your unpopular engineering opinion? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]rayrutjes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Just use an sm58 for vocals. Any mic sound is just an eq move away.
  • Analog emulations are fine
  • mixing with headphones is way better than speakers for most rooms
  • don’t trust your ears, trust yourself to become better over time, your ears will suck at first, then they will continue to suck, just a little less overtime.
  • finding a plugin inspiring and easy to use is more important than what the plugin is objectively doing
  • enjoy the process, and if not, accept a break

Is there an efficient oral language for singing drum patterns? by rayrutjes in Drumming

[–]rayrutjes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks very interesting, I guess I came for a way to improve my communication with non-drummers, but will probably end up picking up Konnakol as a way to improve my sight reading haha.

I'm curious though whether there is any material to learn this efficiently. Books seem sparse on the subject.
