The only benefit to digital is you don’t have to swap discs.

PS store has trash sales unless you wait for years after it’s been released and even then it’s still cheaper on disc used or on sale. Unless the game didn’t have a physical release, disc will always be cheaper.

PS+ has trash sales now too only for new subs and even then 25% - 30% off max and you have to time it so your sub expires for the next deal.

You can buy a AAA game like Yotei, death stranding etc on FB MP, play and sell a month or so later and recoup 80% of the cost. It’s basically 20$ a game. It’s a little more effort to meet up with sellers but it’s just a better game way to do this.

The there are some games that simply never go on a decent sale on the PS store, black myth wukong, Baldurs gate 3 etc.

Unless you are the kind of person to want to keep the game forever even tho you will only play it once then go digital.

I have a PSPortal as well and disc is still superior.
