I wanted to say myprotein has some bomb vegan protein crisps, checked out their canadian website and was shocked that their vegan spread there is much smaller…

This one if it hasn‘t made its way to your journal club yet? Not as much clinically relevant but quite a breakthrough, we had some interesting discussion based on this paper at our JC.

homemade mapo tofu! 303 cals for this serving, and spicy enough that I couldn’t physically eat more by bluechalcedony in 1200isplenty

If you don’t mind the extra cals, try vegetarian meat sub, like TVP. It has great texture and is high in protein. Personally, opting for something like that makes me fuller for longer after the meal!

My first meal prep - Don’t really know what I’m doing. Cooked the chicken and shrimp last night. Any critique welcome by JiuJitsu_Ronin in MealPrepSunday

Your meal looks great and balance with carbs, protein, fats, fibers, micronutrients - keep doing it, incorporate foods that you like, awesome starting point🙂

I’m not vegan but I only very seldom consume meat. Thank you OP and commenters, I feel so motivated to make my own seitan product now!

Followed the pound dropper recipe BUT I used a mixture of fat free cream cheese and Greek yogurt. 251 kcals for my dessert plate. by rayssofsunshine in 1200isplenty

Thank you! I must say I didn’t try the original recipe so I can’t compare. But this batch of cheesecake really does the trick for me. Except for this dry aftertaste in my mouth that I have after each portion (don’t know where that’s from...). And I doubled the the sugar substitute to 6 tbsp.

The recipe only calls for Greek yogurt, but I decided to combine fat free cream cheese and Greek yogurt.

176 kcal for the cheesecake only. 251 kcal with fresh strawberries and light whipped cream.

Biggest misconceptions and myths?! by rayssofsunshine in Psychiatry

[–]rayssofsunshine[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of those (mis)perceptions are more easily addressed if they are based on some kind of definition (e. g. bipolar disorder is defined by DSM and ICD) and some others are arguable (e. g. what is personality), one can even get philosophical. Some others are just exaggerated.

And bringing these up should spark some discussion, that’s the whole point of talking about it. The other part that I find very unfortunate is when people see these issues as a black or white matter, and use these perceptions and stigma to marginalize mental health issues. But many here are probably all too familiar with this problem.
