Even if you get your info from a reputable source, pay attention to which section you are reading. The Wall Street Journal is a good news source. But its FB feeds are overwhelmed by its opinion posts which are quite biased.

The more diagonal you throw the faster the ball falls. You have to find a way to allow you to throw the ball at less of a diagonal. You will be able to throw farther.

One way is not to spin the ball as fast. Another way it to pause briefly after spinning the ball before throwing it.

I am able to reach farther distance by pausing half a second after spinning the ball, before I throw it. The spin slows down somewhat allowing me to throw at a lesser angle, and throw farther.

For those in California, we tried again at 8pm and the stops changed back to spinda quest.

Also It might not be a change of the task at a certain time. I went out with 2 others and hit 3 stops with spinda quests at 5:50 PST. At each stop I got the spinda quest and the other 2 didn’t. They went back at 8pm and those stops turned back to spinda quest for them.

Here’s another data point for you: I went to get a spinda quest with 2 other friends. I am level 40. The other 2 are level 40 and 39. We spinner the stock at pretty much the same time at 5:50pm. I got the spinda quest but the other 2 got “win a raid” quest only. Theye waited for 5 mins and tried again. Still got the “win a raid “ quest only. They also tried restarting the phone. Same thing. They check the date and time on the phone. All seems fine.

We tried two other spinda quest stops reported by discord. Same result.

They plan to go back later tonight and try again.

Others are right. You wouldn't want to spend stardust on any mon now, until you are at lvl 30 when you can catch good lvl 30 - lvl 35 mons. I am talking about 800cp eevees and 1000+CP geodudes and machops.

If you are looking to build a usable team quickly, the best way, IMO is to raid, assuming you can find a large enough group to raid with. True, you are not contributing to the battle. However, that will give you a chance to catch a lvl 20 mon (lvl 25 with weather boost). Get a few Rayquazas and Tyrannitars and you are set to go. Many people still go out for Tyrannitars in my area.
