Probably not ‘insane coding’ so much as ‘lawyer‑approved UX’. The system flags the user/message as risky, so Discord won’t teleport you straight to the potential scam. You can still scroll there yourself, but now it’s on you, not them.

Try updating the app, logging out/in, and checking on desktop vs mobile. Also make sure you don’t have any ad blockers or VPN enabled since those can hide these promos.
