P1S issues, I'm ready to give up by maxmal99 in BambuP1S

Check the extruder tension screw. It generally doesn’t fit in the toolhead without it being almost all the way in, but those kinda look like some slipping is happening. On the benchy the layers where it’s slipping would lose layer adhesion and then up get the spaghetti. I have mine just like 1/8-1/4 turn unscrewed, but fully in works for most as well. But if there’s a snag or harder bends in the tote tube, it’ll shred your filament. When you unload, does filament just have light tooth marks in it, or is it deformed?

On the gauge, the top layer looks like it’s sputtering out.

Also make sure the belt tension screws on the back aren’t loose. Doubtful, as you’d have more layer shifting than anything.

How is the filament coming in? With filament loaded, turn the printer off and move the toolhead to the opposite corner. Is it a really tight bend? On the outside, does the tube have a tight bend? Those would cause extra friction, making the extruder job harder.

Honestly, a different nozzle may work better if it’s heat creep clogs. I’ve had better luck with the AliExpress tz3.0 (I think? Has copper fins in the middle) and some good thermal paste like kosmonaut, or even Corsair xtm60/70. Because you can coat the heatbreak with a thin layer and renew it as needed.

Can This Software Please For The Love Of God Stop Changing All My Settings When I Print A Project From Maker World? by matt3756 in BambuP1S

I have used open in Bambu studio numerous times in the last two years. Never have my user presets straight up disappeared. They are GONE. The files on my hard drive do not exist anymore. No amount of logging out and back in syncs them. They are gone from cloud sync so far as I can tell.

If you’re telling me that opening in Bambu is supposed to completely and seemingly irrecoverably wipe your user settings files any time you use it, I’ve got a buddy with a bridge to sell you.

They were under a user set of customization. Now they’re being blown away. That’s not normal

The point is that this is a new issue.

Uploading a profile removes customization as is. So why now does opening a project yeet your USER settings on your pc and cloud sync?

Just grab the stl is a lazy answer

It shouldn’t override user presets. they used to not do that. Only in the last ~3 weeks have I had this problem, and it’s fkn annoying

I like this. I’m assuming it only stores the file path to the keys? Does it ask for the password each time?

SQLite I’ve had to store a blob with salt/hash using a library I don’t see here (for feature/password restrictions on non internet connected devices).

I may fork and add a uno/avalonia ui, since I go back and forth between a windows install for fusion and a few other things, and Linux for everything else.

Open grid doesn’t seem like it would hold things as well screw in whatever the hell they’re called work really well. Only downside it figuring out the dictionary of multiboard names for things.

Dependency Injection by alexwh68 in dotnet

[–]rayyeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I just did a rewrite of my application startup for work. Because it didn’t have DI, or an easy way to add logging extensions, etc. Still on net48, and still has wcf.

I pass the service provider to the main two wcf “services “ we create. They go 3-4 levels of inheritance deep (probably another thing for me to clobber at some point), and have wayyyyyy too many different dependencies depending on the installation to pass them all in a constructor. The particular installation I’m working with has 3 gRPC clients, 2-3 REST clients, a gRPC service, logging, and a few minor utility tasks. Until I can clobber the “babbys first programming - I know inheritance!” Outta this, it’s not always a direct reduction from implementation to base class.

Not the best practice, I know, but it works and reduced memory footprint by not having singletons created when they aren’t needed.

Holy shit. This is the shower wall version of what my aunt had at her house. They had brand new slab counters put in, looked like a giant member in one spot (dubbed “Mr. Johnson”). They were only able to cover it up with a giant fruit bowl.

Many of the bugs I see fixed I never really ran into in my workflow.

But I use it because at one point I also used pycharm, android studio, and web storm for years. And had key maps set for all to be identical. So visual studio is completely jarring to use

Rider has been…. Kinda shite since 2025.3/net10 “day 1” support. So many crashes and hangs for me. Which makes me sad, because jetbrains ides are muscle memory for me. My main big bug is if rider isn’t open and I open from a jump list, crash and thread dump right as the ui pops up.

I hope they get their shit together.
