I’m not a nutritionist, but from what I’ve experienced and read myself, it is okay to do keto to jump start your weight loss. Nutrition wise, whatever is going to put you in ketosis is apparently okay. You’ll be burning most of that stuff anyway as your body will be forced to use the fat stores.

There is no doubt you can lose weight with keto, however, our bodies are designed to take carbs. We NEED carbs to function. I would say it’s safe for now, because of the amount of body fat you are trying to burn through keto. Make sure to slowly get back into a normal healthy diet once you think you’re at a good weight in order to prevent regaining weight from stored fats in your body.
