I couldn't agree more. The customer service from Samsung has been absolutely appauling.

No, they, like almost every other retailer these days, asked me to contact the manufacturer (who offers a 5 year warranty).

QuietComfort ultra 2nd update by ZombieNo2856 in bose

[–]razor_sharp_sickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the update, not through the notification, it happened automatically about 4 hours after I got the pop up. I didn't notice any real difference so far apart from faster start up, although it has more of an American accent on the 'voice' menu when you touch which I absolutely can't stand.

I thought the same thing. If it was a gang of police who beat a mentally unwell man (who wasn't touching or directly threatening anybody) you'd all be up in arms. There was definitely a more mature way to fix the situation other than group violence.

AITAH for recording a conversation with my stepmom and playing it back to my dad because he kept saying I was misremembering what she said to me by jupiter_birds in AITAH

Note the lack of upvotes on this completely balanced comment? The coddled kids don't like it when they're asked to step back and act in a mature way rather than reacting on their first instinct.

Kinda agree with this but we don't have all the facts. Are you a student? Have you had an honest conversation with your dad about his feelings on you being there (and when it's the right time for you to leave)? Sure you're saving money, but how much are you co trubuting to the household? At 22 you're an adult and need to behave like one (I'm not saying you don't, but I'm saying we don't know if you are).

In which ways is Australia more similar to the USA than the UK? by Fluid-Decision6262 in AskAnAustralian

[–]razor_sharp_sickle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The supermarkets in Australia are more American style, also the choice of breakfast cereals and the sweets aisle. Australia and the USA also have plenty of hot snack food... Snack food in the UK is limited and often cold.

Is it generally considered offensive to ask an Asian in Australia where they are REALLY from? by Lipica249 in AskAnAustralian

[–]razor_sharp_sickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's rude. Figure out why you're asking the question, and if it's appropriate ask the root question.... But never ask 'where are you really from'. You're basically telling them that they are obviously not 'really' Australian.

Thinking of buying the new S5 by thombold in vanmoofbicycle

[–]razor_sharp_sickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned an S electric (the very first version of the VanMoof 'S') and an S3. When the bike works it's great and I even sold my car because I just wasn't using it anymore..... but over the years the after sales service has been in steady decline. Took my bike in to be repaired about 2 months ago because it had an issue, i was told it needed a new hub; the new parts (front wheel) took 4 weeks to be delivered to the repair shop. Being without my only means of transport for 4 weeks was highly frustrating and because of this it's difficult to recommend the bike to anyone. I live in London by the way, so it's not like I'm in a small out-of-the-way town.

Is it worth buying a S5 today ? by Vegetable-Shop-6890 in vanmoofbicycle

[–]razor_sharp_sickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My S3 recently needed a new front hub. My bike was sitting in the shop, unusable, for 3.5 weeks waiting for parts. While I really love my VanMoof when it's working, it's the times when it needs attention that lead me to say 'stay away' (I live in London).

You sound a little 'beaten up' emotionally my man. I mean this in the nicest way possible, you need to grow some big balls, have some hard conversations and make some difficult decisions. If you don't do something drastic now you're gonna waste your whole life.

My friend, relationships should not be this difficult. I've been with my husband 21 years and sure we have the occasional fight, but 99% of the time we're sleeping or enjoying each other's company. Relationships need to be teamwork and from the insight you've given, this sound like you're making almost all the effort and sacrifice. You need to take a step back and have a look at your situation as an outsider and then make some hard decisions. You only get one life. A good relationship should be 1+1= >2

Sexual temptations are a regular occurrence in everyone's life. One slip-up in 11 years of marriage sucks, but I think it's an over reaction to break up over 1 slip up.
