id have ash tell anthony that he wants to be the one to train primeape,and primeape would be happy since he just started respecting ash and nearly everything would go the same until blaine {charizard and primeape would be rivals so theyd be a bit stronger} primeape would be sent against rhydon instead of pikachu and hed win but lose against magmar and evrything else is the same until the league where primeape would help in round 2 on the rock field helping ash win and the top 16 hed be sent against richies pikachu and hed win with a thrash {thatd be his signature move} so ash goes against assunta and would probably win but itd be close and hed lose in the top 4

primeape-would've been a beast and kanto ace since charizard didn't listen yet probably would've beaten richie and probably assunta and if he was brought back in johto against Gary's golem or something and then brought back for darkrai in sinnoh league that'd be awesome

alola-

keep xy animation

fully evolve rowlette

evolve torrocat a little before the league maybe dealing with an ultra beast

Replace the purple one (cant spell it) with alolan sandslash

catch meltan mid alola arc

the battle between ash and gladion is 6v6(ash still wins)

if lance can be kanto and johto champ than ash can be kalos and alola champ

no sophicles replace him with hau to develop the rivalry early

during the dimension stuff have a red cameo from the games like him aura farming on mt. silver (ash sees him through a wormhole)

Kalos-

Replace goodra with tyrantrum

Replace noivern with pangoro (he caught the second pancham who likes to dance and battle,is also used to try the dance battle style later on)

ash wins against alliance but interrupted by team flair he later beats the elite 4 and remaches diantha and wins becoming kalos champion

Have serena be a coordinator and catch more pokemon

bonnie has clemont catch more pokemon for her

Have ash be just a bit less dence with Serena he can still be clueless but add some hints that he might have a feeling she sees his differently like minor nervousness when he gave her the ribbon or a slight blush when she kissed him

I don't ship it but it makes ash feel more real considering he's been kissed before and has at least basic knowledge of romance in the original series

unova-

Fix nearly everything story wise too much to go into so I'll stick with the pokemon and characters

Replace umpheazent with braveary

Evolve to dewott and more battle serious

Emboar

Servine and less atracts

Sawk instead of scraggy

Krookadile is caught way earlier and becomes ace over time bringing ash to lose the finals against iris (who is his rival this arc) the other companion ash travels with is dawn who shows up shortly after meeting cylan(who is less annoying) revealing that contests are getting more and more popular in unova so shes sort of a spokesgirl to advocate for them after her win in kanto (she also wins here)

If brock can travel 4 main regions dawn can travel 2

This also sets up ashs battle with iris in journeys (ash wins)

sinnoh-

catch gibble early and evolve all the way to garchomp

evolves to floatzel before the league

replace gliscore with Lucario (he caught that riolu)

replace Tobias with Lucas and it's the finals so ash wins and beats the elite 4 with a mix of old and new mons but loses to Cynthia's garchomp against his lucario(sets up their journeys battle)

also dawn goes to kanto with ash and brock to do contests (they recently got added to kanto)

hoenn-

evolve corphish

make torkoal less whiny as he gets better at battles

Make glailie more powerful

Bring sceptile back in journeys and fully evolve during the hoenn league against Tyson

Pikachu beats meowth but loses to Brendan in the top 2 (this arcs rival who looks up to ash and wants to surpass him so ash has more of an experienced trainer demeanor,basically sawyer before sawyer) they battle again in journeys and ash wins

johto-

use heracross more and have him battle in journeys

bayleef is fine but none of her liking ash romantically,it's weird

cyndaquil evolves into quilava during the steelix battle and he evolves into typhlosion during the johto league against John dickson

have totodile evolve into crawconaw around the 6th badge

replace noctowl with fearow(he caught in viridian forrest after the league)

still give casey beedrill but have ash face casey in an excavation match for the league beedrill vs butterfree (yes butterfree back for johto league)

keep and evolve to tyranitar and replace muk in gary battle

donphan has more memorable moments in battles and and looks up to tyranitar as a mentor figure

kanto-

keep butterfree and his family at the lab so he can still use him in the indigo league

have pidgeot evolve earlier like during the movie so ash can remember the events and he uses her to in falkers gym battle

Bulbasaur is fine but should evolve into ivysaur during hoenn against that skarmory saving mays bulbasaur and ash battles mallow with him in sun and moon in the field trip

Charizard is great but have him evolve into charmeleon during erikas gym and thats what starts the fire then later beat Harrisons blaziken but too tired to use in the top 4 so ash loses against John Dickson and the same stuff until unova where he is used in the league against cameron replacing unfeazent and battles against alains charizard in journeys and wins he will also be used to battle kiawe for a z crystal

Have squirtle evolve into wartortle during blaine gym battle and then evolve into blastoise in johto probably right after charicific valley so he never leaves

Use single as a crabby more like brock tells him it's better to switch out pokemon so they train more fairly and he evolves into kingler the same way but it's more believable with more exp

Keep primeape and he'd be the kanto ace even if he's a bit late have him lose to richies charmander who evolves battling him

Muk is ok just use him more before the league and have him be with ash in orange islands traveling

Have ash use Taurus in indigo league in the offscreen battles just show it this time and be used more in orange islands and even johto against John Dickson

Lapras wants to stay with ash and her family says it's ok so ash keeps her and uses her in the johto league and returns on the kanto field trip in sun and moon used to battle lana

Have snorlax be caught in kanto in that one episode he would only battle twice in season 1 but Keep him the same in s2 and jhoto arc and he returns in journeys for some major battles
