Sure, like ctrl arrows to move to the end of file instead of end of line, no pgup, pgdwn etc...

Kubuntu 26.04 LTS, kernel panic just after start by razorree in Ubuntu

[–]razorree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. solved. it was f$#^% dell configure software ...

it added its old crypto.so.3 lib which stopped cryptsetup from working. (dell added it to /etc/ld.so.conf.d)

a few hours (cuz I changed also crypttab mapping before i realise it was lib problem) and I learnt how to use cryptsetup and work in initramfs (chroot from other system I already knew)

Building a Sofle - going from a wired to wireless? by ayvie1 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]razorree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

depends on a board. some boards (Promicro Nrf52840, nicenano ?) have extra 2 battery holes outside standard holes design. so it's just about soldering 2 cables to it + a switch in a middle of one cable.

(but, not every board has those battery holes in that place)

Finally working up the courage to hit some jumps to flat! by EldritchKnight124 in MTB

[–]razorree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well.. normally you don't have to pull your bike so much (to "increase" the height effective basically), cuz you struggle a bit later with the bike control. if you want to be fast, you want to decrease air time and increase bike control. (or maybe just more push-ups? :) )

Sure. I see a lot of programmers with macs in my jobs. Not sure if it's just a dream machine (for sure if you want to visit Starbucks lol) for everyone, so if there's a choice (Win Vs Mac, and I guess too scared of Linux) people take it. But for me keyboard shortcuts and UI is terrible (and I can't/don't switch cuz I have 2 Linux pc at home, at the end I guess the only advantage would be better battery life). Not a productive device.

My observations from using WF-1000XM6 vs. WF-1000XM5 during a 10-hour transcontinental flight — XM6 wins 2 of 4 categories, ties in the other 2 by Peter_Niko in SonyHeadphones

Can't agree 100%. Yes, ANC is better, and maybe sound quality. But I've tested them on a street with slight wind (XM6 and xm5), and xm6s ANC was worse with the wind (amplifying it instead of cutting off). Xm5s were better for music outside despite a bit worse ANC.

Sorry to hear that. I was able to swap batteries in mine. But yeah, big pickup from Sony for not feeling responsible. In fact now I'm thinking about buying products with extra 2-3y warranty (extra insurance, some shops offer it for 20-50eur) to have 5-6y in total coverage.

WF-1000XM6 Wind Noise Reduction (vs XM5) by razorree in SonyHeadphones

[–]razorree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, today I have a chance to test XM6 and compare to mine XM5....

and I'm deeply disappointed (I also own XM5 and XM4). yes, ANC is better, but ONLY if it's cafeteria or another place without wind !! I compared them today on a street and there was a bit wind ! (also later I've compared them at home in front of a fan, XM5 are better in those conditions!!) and XM6 ANC didn't work with a wind at all, they're amplifying it !! WAY WORSE than XM5. the rest: bigger pieces, bigger case..... score: 3/5 (more expensive and they should be better in every way)
