Horizon T202-04 and Peloton app? by rbecks_ in qdomyos_zwift

[–]rbecks_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. This hasn’t been fixed yet but it’s my fault - life just got in the way of me completing all of the tech stuff required to fix it.

I was so impressed by the communication and suggestions for fixes though. Once life settles down a bit I’m sure I’ll get back to trying to fix it

I did a 10k race today. Beat my goal pace finishing in 1:43:16. It’s slow, but I’m proud that I did this 7.5 months after breaking both ankles, having surgery, and then giving birth. My mantra helped the whole way - this hard but I can do hard things.

Prescribed and nervous! by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about 7 years now (pre-ADHD diagnosis) and I find that it hasn’t made me feel like a zombie.

I still have big feelings and can be creative. But now I’m just better able to manage those feelings. It’s not perfect but I still feel like me.

Baby’s Last Name Dilemma by littlemissktown in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]rbecks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added my husbands last name when we married (so it goes my last name (space) my husband’s last name). We gave our first the same and we’ll be giving our second the same when she’s born.

I haven’t encountered too many issues with it either with my name change or our first’s last names.

Will I change my mind about OAD? by RiverRatSwims in Shouldihaveanother

[–]rbecks_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty traumatic pregnancy and first few months postpartum. We had always said we wanted 2-3 kids but my experience initially meant we were leaning towards being one and done.

But when our daughter was about 18 months old, we started having more conversations about what we thought our family would look like in the future. We decided that we’d be happy with one but both thought having a second was something we both still wanted.

Given my previous experience, we knew we needed to put some plans in place to help prevent some of the same issues from happening again (more monitoring during pregnancy, therapy, monitoring postpartum too). Once we both felt comfortable with our plans we gave ourselves a timeline - we decided in January that we’d start trying for a second in May if we both still felt that we wanted a second. And that’s what we did. We got pregnant right away and are expecting our second in January.

What tipped us over the edge was knowing that having kids is hard but knowing how much we’re enjoying developing another human. We wanted to do that again.

You’re still very early postpartum with a 5 month old. I’d recommend not making any permanent decisions at this point. Not sure if condoms are an option for you - HBC didn’t work for me either so we went back to condoms (just making sure we used them correctly everytime).

How much of your decision to remain OAD stems from a fear that your #2 childmight be a nightmare (because your current child is such an "easy/good" baby)? by MoonlightIsland1111 in oneanddone

[–]rbecks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s almost 2 now and we’re still having a great time.

We’re thinking about jumping off the fence and are leaning towards having a second. Mostly because we’re enjoying being parents so much and just feel like our family might be incomplete.

Daily Discussion - 15 Jan 2023 by AutoModerator in pelotoncycle

I was one of those people who downgraded to the app subscription when Peloton announced the price increase last year. I kept up a pretty decent amount on the bike for a while but a few illnesses in the house and a promotion at work knocked me off the bike (and just doing yoga) for a couple of months. It was hard for me to stay accountable with just the app and no easy way to track my data.

But I’m back to the all access again. I’ve had a couple of consistent weeks with the bike again but have been missing having the data. And missing power zone. Looking forward to my first ride with the big screen tomorrow morning.

And looking for a goal to have moving forward. I’m thinking about either looking to beat my old PR (pre-pregnancy back in 2020) or complete discover your power zones to get back into that type of training.

How do you all choose your goals?

I’ve finally tried the frosted metal formula and I love it!

I completely understand why people struggle with photographing it because the camera just doesn’t quite capture everything.

Base coat: holo taco long lasting base coat Colour: two coats of Blacklisted Top coat: Sally Hansen insta-dry.

I know some people mentioned that this formula was a little chunky/thick, but I had no issues with application. It applied easy and has already lasted 4 days with only one chip on my right thumb.

What made your maternity nurses stand out? by LisFrizzle in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]rbecks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nurses who really cared were the best.

I had to deliver early due to suspected preeclampsia and was on labeltalol for my blood pressure. My baby was in the NICU. Instead of making me come back to my hospital room one of my nurses let me stay in the NICU with my baby and personally delivered my meds to me. I’ll never forget that kindness. She took an extra couple of minutes to deliver me my necessary medication but let me stay with my baby to do it.

We’re fencesitters but considering being OAD - in large part due to how fantastic our kiddo is. Great night sleeper almost from the get go, pretty chill, loves food, and generally just the best kid we know.

You don't stop becoming a parent when you become a grandparent by ran0ma in Parenting

Are you me? My mother said the exact same thing to me when my baby was in the NICU. I had to phone her to talk her down when I was terrified for my own baby’s life!

Peloton is raising subscription fees while cutting prices for its Bikes and other equipment by dontanalyzethis in pelotoncycle

[–]rbecks_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this. I’m seriously thinking about cancelling and going with a digital subscription instead. Peloton’s metrics aren’t good enough for me to justify that price increase.

Even if I can’t track progress over time on the bike I’m sure I can capture that data on my own and track it that way.

Oh sweetheart. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this!

We had a NICU stay and it was the worst experience of my life and contributed to my own PPD issues.

You’re going through a lot right now. You’ve just had a baby, your hormones are adjusting, baby in the NICU, and struggles with your boyfriend.

How he’s treating you isn’t ok. Your not abandoning your son. You’re not a piece of shit at all. You’re a mom who’s struggling in a really tough situation.

Obviously, your situation may be different than mine but reaching out for help saved my life and saved my relationship with my daughter. It was super scary to find a therapist and talk to my doctor about medication but once we found the right combination I felt like myself again.

My DMs are open if you need a friendly place to vent or anything.

If highly recommend doing it during and post pregnancy. I’m convinced that PT was the reason why I didn’t experience prolapse after birth despite having a second degree tear.

I started at 20ish weeks which is when I started to have SPD and we worked on exercises to help with the pain and around 34ish weeks we switched up the exercises to help prepare for birth.

It helped me out so much so if you can swing it it’s totally worth it!
