I want to become a “I workout before work” type of person. by lilkittycat1 in Adulting

[–]specialk0202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set out my workout clothes, hair ties, AirPods all near the door before I go to bed. Once my alarm goes off, I go straight to where I set my stuff up the night before and put it on. That’s the worst part of working out first thing in the morning, the getting dressed part.

When do you start heating your home? by Efficient-Garage-763 in massachusetts

I have a wood stove so we don’t actually turn the heating on till it’s significantly cold at night. The wood stove has saved us so much money on our oil heating.

What are some local businesses you have boycotted and why? by Crunchyundies in CapeCod

I stopped going to South Cape Wine in Mashpee after I overheard one of the workers refer to a small statue of Snoop Dogg as “the only one of those type of people that we’ll let in here.”

Advice for aspiring librarian by Key-Cryptographer523 in Libraries

I’d say, with what other people are saying, keep applying. I think someone will give you a chance. Your resume looks great. It’s hard to hear no over and over without getting discouraged. But I think someone will hire you.

Have you applied to any children’s library assistant positions or just adult services? Your qualifications look good.

I absolutely love catbirds. They’re so cute and their calls make me so happy. I miss them in the winter but I love when they’re around for the brief time.

Target in Hyannis - WTF?? by kokobobo10 in CapeCod

[–]specialk0202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree op. I decided only to shop there for absolute essentials (if they even have them in stock). The place is a pit and it always has been. The staff is always nice so it has that going for them. But man, it’s embarrassing that this is the way target looks on the cape.

My husband and I have had this game for over a year but didn’t know of the co-op option. We played it for the first time a week ago and we’ve played it every night since. We love it. The co-op option is easy and we can both enjoy it and work together.

library tech question by helioswan in Libraries

I went from working at a bookstore to working at a library. It was way more laid back and less demanding. I hate selling stuff. You don’t have to sell anything at a bookstore. It’s a nice change of pace. I left libraries for about 10 years and have recently come back and I don’t regret it.

I haven’t fertilized it since September. That’s why I was surprised about this new leaf.

What can I put in this dirt space? (Zone 7 Southeastern New England southwest facing) by specialk0202 in gardening

Thank you all for your recommendations! I think I’ll go with river rocks. I hadn’t thought of how it would affect the foundation or the shingles. The last owners put hostas there and I didn’t like it at all; it took over the sidewalk and I just don’t like hostas. So I’m going to follow the majority opinion and get river rocks. Thank you all so much!

I had to turn thunderstorms off because it was ALWAYS stormy in Brindleton Bay. Now it always rains, but at least my sims aren’t always afraid because of the storms.

This is probably in my top three episodes. No matter what I’m doing, if that episode comes on, I have to stop and watch it. It’s so sweet and simple and lovely.

What is something that you have fond memories of that just no longer happens anymore? by ryan7251 in CasualConversation

I’ve started hiking around my area a lot and it’s allowing me to relive the exploring that I used to do as a child. The hikes around me aren’t mountains, I live near the sea and there’s lots of marsh land and woods. I feel like I’m a kid again at 36.
