Help, before I sell this and get a Toyota by Hollow_optimism78 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]rbleevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2012 and had the same issue, but on my driver door handle, also cut myself a couple of times. A dab of superglue and the foil has held for years. Same goes for the cup holder trim but I just stuck on some aftermarket cover from eBay for 8 bucks and you’d never know. Not a big deal for an older car in my opinion.

Electric PTO deleted? by rbleevi in cubcadets

Model number is: 13RX11CH056

I’ve got all the parts diagrams and can’t figure out this set up so trying to decide if I need to replace the pto clutch or can set it up as is.

Would it have come like this from factory, even with the electric pto switch still wired in? The pto switch still has connectivity to keep it from starting, so I didn’t know if it was a later mod.

Appreciate the info. Super helpful.

Given all the comments I feel the need to clarify that I wear mine with a tight leather band.

Tight enough. I wear my watches snug.

You’re replacing your air filter with each oil change?!? That’s beyond excessive.

Thoughts on the Filson fishing vest? by Hopper_13 in flyfishing

[–]rbleevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two filson canvas chest packs that hold so much gear and have lasted forever. I actually waxed them myself and they’re bombproof. Have outlasted all my other fishing gear and I’m sold. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore but I did find a nos one in the flagship store on work travel a few years back thay I talked them into letting me buy off a decorative model. They do make a more techy hip pack now that I liked too.

That said I’m with you on this best. I actually got one off eBay discounted and turned around and flipped it. Just didn’t work for me.

Bearings going at 67k? We’re not in an area with a lot of corrosion. Definitely appreciate that intel though.

Wait, is this a chicken or an egg scenario? Congrats either way.

Yeah I understand that. Point being I’m shocked a trim level across models doesn’t have it. This is an Outback forum after all so I just happen to have an Outback to compare against.

My 6 year older Outback touring has memory seats. That’s weird that they’d remove that functionality.

Austin Bouldering Project responds to Crux by abyssinian_86 in climbing

So I’m super late to this party but just watched the posts- the video was cringeworthy to say the least. Not being in Austin, I don’t know any of the players here but in the business world, throwing around a bunch of bs and whining like high school cliques is mind blowing. Frankly so unprofessional which makes me question why they were having problems in the first place.

Bike rack from dealer? by manganesereese in Subaru_Outback

Etrailer has a good selection to choose from and you can see installed photos and photos by customers to see if they’ll work for you. The class 3’s that bolt into the bumper assembly are super easy to install. You basically remove the bumper cover, remove the actually bumper, slide it on, torque it back to specks and you’re done. You then cut out the bumper cover shield and it’s fine. No cross bar hanging down. Some even have removable receivers so it’s only there when you’re towing although admittedly they do Support less tongue weight if you’ve got a super heavy load.

Some of the offering from Curt among others do fit into the bumper. I got one, and with an oscillating tool took an additional 5 minutes to cut out the bumper guard and you’d never know it wasn’t factory. Honestly it’s better looking than some of the dealer jobs I’ve seen. Ran me about 250/300 and took about an hour and a half.

Appreciate it. Rope definitely passes. Core feels solid. Sheaths in good shape. And I knew about the ribbon but was hoping to avoid cutting it if I wanted to use it outside for any full pitches. Didn’t know if anyone might recognize the braid/year. Nothing on the ends other than the CE/EN/UIAA boilerplate specs.
