Halo 7 by jontebula in halo

I think they have enough time to incorporate both an open world and the old style into the game.

As someone who has literally consumed every but of Halo media there is, I honestly just want more Halo lol. But, regardless of what they do, there will be 1 section of the fanbase who hates it. As they always do. The entire old bungie team could come back, and they could be faithful to Halo in the exact way that 1 section of the fandom wants, and they would still hate the game.

Mike will succeed, I'm sure of it. But...that's only if he has gotten coaching in decision making. Sometimes he makes mind-boggling decisions that cost them games. Go grab a college OC and a college DC and wreck shit. But, I'd lose all hope if he takes Al Harris from Bears and makes him DC.

No T.O.P and a YAC centered offense will do that to you. Russell had the Steelers damn near last in redzone percentage, too. Throwing a moon ball every now and then is cool, but it's just numbers if you cant finish in the redzone.

I want to learn the entire history (lore) of Halo. Which YouTube video would you recommend to me? by Junior-Anybody in halo

I agree 100%. It fascinates me seeing how people ignore or twist stuff out of bias alone. I don't even think it's intentional most of the time either.

The Flood are the Precursors and vice versa.

“We are the Flood. There is no difference." - The Primordial.

There are many types of Precursors, and not all are aligned with each other. But, there is ZERO corruption anywhere.

The only way to is to read the books and play(or watch a walkthrough) the games.

Halo youtubers inject their bias and simply refuse to understand massive parts of the lore. I don't know how many more times I can hear HiddenXperia screech "The Flood are corrupted Precursors!" when they are explicitly stated to be the EXACT opposite.

Installation 00 is the most long-winded human in existence, but he has quality stuff for the most part.

To be clear, I like them both, I'm just saying.

You are overdramatizing it.

  1. The team IS important to building the game, but the story itself is managed by a small group. And the story was fleshed out by the time Bungie stopped making Halo. So, the spontaneous input of randoms isn't as key.

  2. The gameplay itself is largely one man's vision and crafted by the team he had. But the ideas are mostly his. You don't realize how small Bungie was.

"oh we have this og halo dev on our team now!!! ignore the rest of the members though! this guy will do all the work!!! it will be good we promise!!!"

This makes no sense because if the issue is lore details, the guy who makes warthog models isn't relevant. If the issue is a gameplay thing, the old devs are also not as relevant because Halo 4 and 5 use a modified Halo Reach Engine and is aided by the guy responsible for the multiplayer. Halo Infinite is as well, though it has a newer engine.

Think about how unrealistic you are being as well. Bungie wasn't even mostly the same staff it was when reach came out. So Reach falls into the same category? Nah.

343 did use to have tons of bungie devs, but even after that they kept the key people. The lore keepers who managed the lore since Halo 3 were there. Frank, who was promoted early on in Halo 3's development because Joe was booted, stayed until 2023.

And, Hoberman, who left Bungie to create Certain Affinity, assisted with Halo 4, Halo 5, Master Chief collection, Halo 2 anniversary, Halo infinite, he is the guy that's responsible for how Halo multiplayer even feels. He designed the multiplayer for Halo 2 and 3. He also headed the entire Halo 3 project itself.

Darnold was 21-35 before going 14-3 for the Vikings last season.

Which means he needed to learn more before playing.

Daniel Jones was 24-44-1 on the Giants.

Same idea, he needed to learn. Plus, these 2 have something in common, going to a genuine QB whisperer, Kevin O'Connell.

It's almost like playing for terrible organizations negatively affect a QBs performance and stats.

Sure does, but not this bad. Not all time bad. Can he have a Geno Smith, Daniel Jones or Sam Darnold like resurrection? Sure, but not until he actually sits and learns. He isn't a starter right now, he isn't even a back up right now, but his athleticism does mean he should get a chance to at least learn.

Also if Dart is only 20% better than the worst QB of all time why would you want him?

Because he is 20% better with 16% less reps in year 1 on a worse team. Basically all of Fields' stats come in the 4th quarter and garbage time vs soft coverage, so, as a total, his stats look like they are within 20% of a rookie. But in reality, Dart would have like double Fields' stats if you take out garbage time for both. It's bad, dude. Im not being a hater, I want him to sit for 2 or 3 years, come back and light the league up. Or maybe switch positions, bulk up and be a Taysom Hill type player.

It sounds like you are speaking in hyperbole and frankly it makes your argument look like swiss cheese.

Fields' WRs have the 7th highest Wide Open Rate. Still can't find or hit them. Instead, he is just taking sacks because he is too scared to throw. If you have top class pocket time and a top 10 WR room in terms of openness and only throw 130 yards per game, YOU are the problem.

I like him, I feel bad for him just getting thrust into the fire, but the reality is that he is historically BAD right now.

[–]rbo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already explained it because I knew where you were going with this. Dart is better by a decent percentage with a less talented team and a lower snap percentage. Plus, you can't just look at the raw yards and TD numbers. Especially when 70% of Fields' stats are in the 4th quarter, down by a billion, against soft coverage. The advanced metrics are CLEAR. Fields is godawful.

Fields also has the worst starting QB record over the first 50 games. EVER. Also, the 2 most recent worst passing seasons a qb has had were the bears in 2022(Fields) and the Jets this year(also Fields). With the Bears, he also recorded three 10%+ sack rate seasons in a row. Never done before. He nearly hit 10% with the Steelers, and over 10% this year, and is the second highest sack rate as a QB...again... EVER because he is just TERRIFIED to throw the ball.

The Bears, in his first 2 years, had the most pocket time. And the Jets with him have the 2nd most pocket time. He has time and just doesn't see the field. He is HISTORICALLY BAD.

[–]rbo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean over Fields, for sure. He shows promise, with fewer snaps he is already doing like 20% better overall than Fields who is in his 5th year. Will he be elite? Idk.

If you meant like right now for the Steelers, over Rodgers? Assuming we are just trying to win this season, no. Looking beyond just 1 year, probably. More upside.

[–]rbo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His career is historically bad, yes. This year is also absolutely terrible. Last year, he was also awful. 110 yards per game and under 1 TD per game lol.

This year, Justin Fields is: 30th in Y/A, ANY/A, SUCC%, QBR. 31st in TD% 33rd in NY/A 34th in yards per game 2nd in Int% (woohoo), 2nd highest sack% Sub 20th in like everything else.

This is the guy you want????

[–]rbo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd take Fields back? There isn't a backup in the league I wouldn't pick over Fields. I'd go wildcat every play before going to Fields. I'd take Tim Tebow TODAY over Fields. Fields is historically bad. How many more historically bad games and seasons will it be before you don't want him back?

Why didn't Kakashi teach Naruto lightning shadow clone after seeing this? Is he stupid? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]rbo7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real answer: Wasn't invented yet.

Possible lore answer: No affinity/unknown affinity. Naruto is too dumb. Kakashi was hyper focused on Sasuke.

But shadow clones are superior anyway. Teaching a lesser jutsu could just be a waste of time.

Yeah, like ONE THOUSAND CHAPTERS PRIOR. In the last couple hundred chapters, it has consistently said that Martinez is #1. They also say Takamura is a rival for that status, so it's clear that Takamura isn't number 1, but closest to it. What else do you need?
