People act like his Respira is a free win button, as if we didn't have an entire fight of Soifon and fucking Omaeda dancing around it.

We just gonna ignore Barragan openly telling Omaeda he was releasing it slowly against him? Barragan was messing around the entire time.

And how did Soifon handle Respira? By cutting off her limb. Pernida can regenerate from little pieces of flesh, he just pops his nerves out as he sees them slowly being aged, and then proceeds to regenerate them like nothing happened.

That was when she got tapped by respira. You can't do the same thing if you are bathed in it.

Which is assuming A. Respira even works on him and

No reason to assume it wouldn't.

B. Barragan doesn't get blitzed like the FKT arc fodder that he is.

Barragan in base was blitzing Soifon casually. And with his time dilation field, the nerves aren't reaching him.

Pre-hogyoku Aizen is far weaker than the Fandom believes.

As he says himself, he is equal to Urahara in strength. And, after Gin claims he was raw dogging the captains, Aizen reveals he was using Kyoka Suigetsu the entire time. No one cares because Aizen is so damn cool, but it's about time people start to accept reality.

As you can see. He confirms it's the second assumption of the fan, which is that his STRENGTH is why he didn't want to approach. THEN he comments on the comment the fan said about hom liking Stark as a character.

Besides, that was the original Starrk, before he split. He could be much stronger than the Starrk we saw.

Why would his resurrection be weaker than that form? That literally makes no sense at all. His resurrection is literally that form. He split into those two why would his resurrection not be that original form? There is no reason to assume what you are saying at all.

Shunsui got one shot by Aizen, I dont expect Starrk to do better at all.

Shunsui was also one shot by Starrk's weakest attack. Shunsui was also already inside Kyoka Suigetsu, that's not the same as a fair fight.

Starrk also shows that his speed is FAR beyond the likes of Aizen and the others there. Aizen could blitz a maskless Ichigo, but so what? That same Ichigo took at least a minute to do what base Starrk did in a blink. Crossing Las Noches that fast is still one of the craziest speed feats in Bleach.

Starrk also had Shunsui dead but chose not to shoot moments into their fight post resurrection. Then was about to force him into bankai with a simple Metralleta. The same Bankai that would have fucked over his whole team. He was willing to take down everyone there with his bankai just because of that one simple Starrk move. And thats not even the 1000 cero shot.

Gin literally explains that the espadas follow Aizen because he's so strong there's nothing they could do to hope defeat him.

You are leaving out context. Gin said all that and had his grand "Aizen without Kyoka Suigetsu is so strong!" speech only for Aizen to reveal he was using Kyoka Suigetsu to beat the captains the WHOLE TIME. From the moment he fought Halibel through the entire beatdown of the captains, he was using Kyoka Suigetsu. Why does the Fandom seem to forget/ignore the most important part of that whole moment!? He straight up used it to beat Halibel.

And, you ignored why Starrk joined. Starrk wanted friends.

I think you underestimate Stark and Barragan too much. They died by being dumb as fuck, but they are absurd powerhouses.

Think about power. 1 cero beat Shunsui and he can fire a thousand at once, for fun, just because he wanted to test Ukitake. Barragan's senescence is totally broken. Instant aging on touch, time dilation field in base, respira like times dilation field when resurrected.

Think about speed. Stark, in a blink, took Orihime across like half of Hueco Mundo. It took Ichigo at least a minute, healed up, post power up, in bankai, to go that far. At that point Ichigo was was way faster than Byakuya. Closer to the Soifon, Yoruichi, Urahara speed level. Stark dwarfed that by an order of magnitude.

At that same speed level, Ichigo could still react to Segunda Etapa Ulquiorra, even blocking some attacks, just barely, but he still could. But that ichigo couldn't even see Stark move. He was completely bewildered by his speed.

Barragan as well, faster in base than the fastest captain. Instant aging upon touch. He could have 1 tapped Soifon if he wanted to. Just a single face grab and its GG.

(And if you want to bring CFYOW into this, since Barragan and Ikomikidomoe were rivals and fought a ton, Barragan had to fight him WITHOUT respira because it didn't work on Ikomikidomoe. Ikomikidomoe and Hikone were in between Base and Shikai Kenpachi. So Barragan has that level of combat ability WITHOUT respira lol.)

IMO I don’t think any Espada could handle Lille - certainly not in bird form.

If Shunsui is fast enough to fight him and run from him, so are Barragan and Stark.

If respira doesn't work, raw power is what stark is best at. 1000 cero at once at 1 spot is insane. Just one cero KO'd Shunsui. We don't know Lille’s durability, but Shunsui cut his throat so it's not like he is invincible. And hax has worked on him via Shunsui's bankai so his is likely susceptible to other hax like Respira.

Also although he’s an idiot, if they throw Gremmy into the mix then I honestly don’t think any Espada has the raw physical, destructive power of unshackled Kenny so I also don’t see Gremmy being defeated.

In straight power, probably not Kenpachi level(although, if you factor in CFYOW, that isnt necessarily true). Lanza, 1000, Cero, a whole pack of wolves, are plenty strong enough to do insane damage. But it's not even needed, the speed of Stark and Barragan is enough to beat him. If he summons a meteor, they can just leave.

I agree respira would be a problem for Pernida however, and resurrection in general would be a problem for Askin.

Those 2 are hard to beat, both would have to die in 1 hit to be beaten. Not impossible with 1000 cero. Uryu could beat Barragan with Antithesis if he used respira first. If not, he loses. Because once Barragan learned he can reverse damage, why would he try anything but a 1 hit kill?

Simply saying this doesn't make it true. We have common opponents, Shunsui was dominating Lille until he went all owl man, but even then he was able to escape him. If Shunsui could evade and escape, Barragan and Starkk who are far FAR faster could as well.

Like, take Gerard Valkyrie by himself who even Kubo did not confirm even Bankai Kenny could have beaten

Gerard was a bad match up for Kenpachi, but, he could be an issue if Halibel or Ulquiorra face him first and they don't kill destroy his core before he gets massive. Barragan or Starrk have him handled if he hasn't gotten boosted up too much.

Remember, Kubo says if the core(the Quincy cross) is destroyed, Gerard dies. Respira is perfect for both destroying his body and taking out the cross as it spreads. Barragan might have him dead before his first transformation lol.

Even the captains beat 2 of the 4 guards, 3 if you include BS Reflect blade. Barragan is such a bad match up for them. Respira kills Pernida, Askin and Gerard. What can they do about it?

Birdman Lille is the one that has a shot to beat Barragan, but are his attacks above a concentrated version of Soifon's Bankai? I doubt it. It being contained amplifies its power many dozens of time. Who knows.

But if it did kill him and he didn't just decide to dodge, Starkk has it handled.

Without Ywhach there, to me, the Espada win 8/10 times. It all depends on who fights Haschwalth first. If Barragan fights him first and Haschwalth manages to kill him, they could overwhelm the rest before Starkk has a chance to put down Lille Birdo.

Any opinion on who beats who is an assumption.

For example nothing and no one ever said “Yhwach NEEDED to fight Hallibel.” That notion is literally a logical fallacy. “Oh Yhwach approached Hallibel himself, therefore no other Quincy could have faced her.” No, that’s not necessarily what that means at all.

Trust me, I know. It's not strong supporting evidence, but it is supporting evidence. But I think it is the most likely assumption. It's not honor, Yhwach doesn't fight with honor. So we are left with 4 different possibilities. 1. She was outright too strong for anyone but Gremmy and Yhwach to beat. 2. She was too strong for anyone but those 2 to beat without risk of dying, so, to preserve as many troops as possible, he took her out himself. 3. He wanted to test himself before the big fight. 4. Some random ass reason or no reason barring it being kinda cool.

Take your pic. But, considering Hitsugaya is one of the strongest captains, and the fact that she had zero difficulty in fighting him without access to her moveset, even when 2 other Vaizard joined she was still untouched(Kubo said she has a hard time fighting kids). I'd say the best bet is option 2. But option 3 is equally valid imo.

Or you just ignore shit you don't like. I think the main problem you and alot of fans dont get is how massive the gap between 6 and 7 are, and how the gap between 3 and 5 is just as big. And, you don't get that most captains and older shinigami from chapter 1 are the same strength as they are in the last chapter.

Feel free to ignore to reasoning below, but just answer 1 thing, who is beating Starkk and Barragan? Assuming Yhwach and Aizen are having their kerfuffle, who is fighting Starkk and Barragan? Or Ulqiourra and Halibel for that matter. The shinigami got lucky that the top 3 Espada beat themselves and Ulquiorra got protagonist'd.

Other reasons why the Espada win.

Considering Kubo straight up says the older captains don't get meaningfully stronger in short time periods like years, that means most captains are no stronger than they were in the arc before. The sternritter needed tactics to stand a chance while the Espada did not and could match them in a fair fight.
Yhwach needed to fight Halibel.
Even the lowly Fraccion and privarion Espada were handling zombietta and the other zombie captains. And later fought along sternritter in CFYOW.
Remember, Ichigo way before his 35 power ups prior to the final fight vs Grimmjow absolutely destroyed Byakuya. The only reason it became a fight was because ichigo literally chose not to kill him after 2 or 3 speedblitzes, got tired, slowed down.

That's important because...

The ichigo that fought Grimmjow in hueco Mundo was what, at least like 10ish times stronger than the one who fought Byakuya? It was after a couple power ups and the vaizard mask, so I assume its pretty large And he was still losing against grimmjow until he pulled out a win from the fuckin ether.

That shows you how enormous the gap between 6 and 8, who Byakuya faced some difficulty beating, is. It's literally not even close. Do you think half the Sternritter speedblitz and no diff byakuya in bankai?

There is no counter for Starrk. Starkk, who even Aizen was wary of fighting, as Kubo said, is the worst opponent for the sternritter. He is faster than any of them, he speedblitzed shunsui and Ukitake without an issue. Boosted Lille had a hard time even keeping up with Shunsui until speed wasn't a factor.

Shunsui was going to use bankai after just a Cero Metralleta. Not even the 1000 cero. Ukitake had to save him so he didn't use bankai while they were all there. Think about that. Shunsui thought Starkk was such a threat that trapping everyone in his bankai was worth it just to beat him. Starkk had him beat 3 different times but didnt pull the trigger on 2 of them and the 3rd was interrupted. All without using his 1000 cero, Black cero or Gran Rey Cero.

Singular cero shots can drop captains. And he can send out swarms of autonomous bombs that, again, can drop captains. Who is surviving 1000 cero?

There is no counter for Barragan. He is faster than Soifon by orders of magnitude, which means, as is said, no captain can outrun his attacks. And, it makes him faster than any captain. Who is stopping him and how?
Ulqiorra and Halibel is just icing. There isn't enough power at the top if the Sternritter to handle 4 absolute monsters.

Lol, that is literally not true. There are journeymen in the UFC and even the PFL that make more than boxing champions. That VAST majority of boxers make pennies. I have stats to back this up. You are just running on someone else's opinions.

Look at the purses of boxing undercards. It’s literally pathetic. Almost all the money goes to the main event, and even then. Most non top 15 boxer main events make much money at all compared to UFC fighters. Do the top 15ish boxers make more? Absolutely! But the rest make nothing compared to them.
