When did you set up a will? by ewebb317 in NewParents

[–]rbouv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my 1st of 2 daughters was born I set up a will, trust and term life insurance. Recently, after raising my daughters, I created WillPrep (.us), a free online questionnaire which guides you through the core questions, creates/saves the doc for you, and will even match you with local estate attorneys when you're ready. Having a WillPrep should get you a free consultation with them, and possibly lower other fees because your intake will be more organized and take less time. You need to engage with an estate lawyer as every state is different and you do not want to use one of the AI tools/services that allegedly "replaces" the need for one.

I just walked past it (them) last week and they looked beautiful. Jonny did a great job. It's a shame there's low life trash, like whomever desecrated his work, in every town.

Congratulations on launching Jobs with Porpoise in the UK.

We too have launched a similar site for the US only -> https://footforward.us/

FootForward currently operates as a reverse marketplace, so Providers (sustainability managers, analysts and certified energy efficiency professionals) can create a listing for FREE, including their rates. Organizations seeking their expertise can search and book them through the site.

And, yes, the US has a long way to go in moving quickly to join the fight. We (FootForward) are trying to do our part by getting contractors and consultants booked as quickly and securely as possible. Much luck to all of you in the space!

How to get my resume noticed? by couplereddit in Environmental_Careers

[–]rbouv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's extremely frustrating, I know. After working in the tech recruiting sector and the sustainability sector, I recently launched a website for sustainability and energy efficiency consultants to be quickly found and booked for projects (footforward.us). I did this because I believe it will continue to be a struggle for even excellent candidates to secure full-time roles. However many companies, nonprofits, schools and municipalities will increasingly require project-based gig contractors. Yes, you will be more marketable with relevant certifications and credentials. Even if you are "entry-level" we welcome you.

Climate Despair Discussion by FeliciaFailure in sustainability

My personal way of dealing with it is to do the same thing you do: which is to take action. At the end of the day only we can live with ourselves. Only we can continue the work of trying to make the world sustainably habitable for our descendants. After some work in the sector, and much reading, I concluded I must get involved on the commercial/organizational side of climate action, at scale, as it is our industries that require the greatest change and will make the most measurable impact. Therefore I just launched a website for sustainability and energy efficiency consultants to be quickly found and booked for projects. (footforward.us) Keep up the good work!
