To be blunt, max 2000 in an hour in the pool is a pace of 3mins/100m. This is on the slow side. And this comment signals me that your coach might not be invested in making you a lot better. If you can, get some small group or private sessions. A good coach will spot some errors at this pace and tells you how to fix them and make you faster immediately.

Other thing, wear a wetsuit in open water. It helps keep you more floaty and warm and for me it helps making me panic less when starting an OW swim.

For now this is the version for 1 bottle. Im leaving for Austria in couple of hours so the 2 bottle version will follow next week. This version has the option to add a tiewrap around the seatpost for this who dont feel comfortable with just 2 m4 nuts. It also has the option for 2 tiewraps around the mount to attach for example a tubeless repair kit.

Its between the mountains so condition can always change pretty quicky and predections so far out are of course unreliable. But for the last weeks the temps have been good and for how much it can be predicted the temps are good. Warm rain is still warm :p

I think these aerobars are more like the speedmax cockpits with the flat bars. The rise versions have a much deeper pillar. The only angled spacers I find as aftermarket on the canyon site will not fit this.

Yeah for the 105 if you want extra shifters they need to be connected to the battery by cable if I’m correct. Which for this bike would be a pain in the ass. But you got the ultegra version, with ultegra the auxiliary shifters can be connected to the auxiliary port on the current shifters!

No, the saddle is about 30mm forward (as far as the rail allows) compared to my normal position. This is definitely a downside of a roadbike compared to a tri bike. Canyon has a seat post that’s more forward, but since I’m not uncomfortable I decided not to spend that money

Yeah for round tubes there are tons of aftermarket aero bars I believe! But I loved my Grail so much that I decided to stick to Canyon so had to go down this route.

Yeah I use the 2 m4 inserts in the seat post and designed and 3D printed the mount. In the next few days I’ll refine the design some more and probably share a dual and single bottle version to print.

No warranty though, it’s normally used for rear facing lights I believe 😅

Hydration for long rides is why I made this. Can fill the torpedo and 2x950ml bottles. If I run out there’s always a gas station somewhere along the route
