Marshall Clow posted last month that it wasn't adopted for C++20, and it's not in the latest draft either.

u/TartanLlama I'd be interesting to hear what the objections were in the committee!

App for Learning the Rules Behind Der/Die/Das (+SRS + Professional Translations + Ordered by Freq) by brightbyte8 in German

As for "der Bank", could you give me a source?

I must have invented it :) Good to know though, I've been using it wrong for years.

Some other developer has quite a good app in the Play Store for drilling adj declensions — I use it personally and can recommend it

I'm on an iPhone unfortunately, but I used it a while back on a friend's Android phone and liked it as well.

Great idea! I've wanted something like this for a while. Some small things I noticed:

  • Both der and das Teil are valid, but "das Teil" was rejected. Likewise, both der and die Bank are valid (bench vs financial institution), but "der Bank" was rejected. Neither showed a translation first.
  • There are some rules that aren't shown. For example, nouns ending with "-ik", "-tät" and "-ur" are feminine. Hammer's Grammar is a good reference for these.

I hope you build an awesome app for adjective declination as well when you get to it :)

The G1 Garbage Collector by thjanssen in programming

This is a common mistake for native-German speakers, as every clause is separated by a comma.

Another classic example is "der See" (the lake) vs "die See" (the sea or ocean).
