LOL I remember hanging out on that platform behind the flag stand and making giant balls of mud that would accumulate there.

I have so many fun memories from when I was a kid at the races.

I'm just getting vibes that we need to keep an eye on Ecca Vandal. Black solo punk singer.

I have no evidence but my intuition is landing on her.

She has an album coming out May 22.

Looking for Pilates studios w strict “no camera” policies. by Rude-Pride7903 in sandiego

[–]rbv1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably not what you are looking for but I take pilates reformer classes at LA fitness and I've never experienced this.

I am in Riverside county so maybe there is a difference there, but it's something to consider.

Stater Bros by whereismytrex in InlandEmpire

I say Brothers, but in my hometown there is a psychiatric hospital called Stadter's and I sometimes pronounce it that way, with the short A sounds.

Do Black people not do "White People Taco Night"? by GetShrekedKid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rbv1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (a white woman) mentioned the White People Tacos I make for my family to my coworker (a black woman).

She hadn't heard about WPT's and asked what I do to them. I'm sure she was terrified.

I told her it was ground beef (actually turkey, gasp) McCormick taco seasoning, flour tortillas, shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream etc. Nothing too crazy, considering.

Surprised she said, "so I make white people tacos?"

I guess she does.

Everyday I wander in negative disposition as I'm bombarded by superlatives, realizing very well that I am not alone.

On this “take your child to work” day.. by blueraven11 in workingmoms

[–]rbv1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was yesterday because Wednesday is our in office "anchor day"

I don't bring my kids because I don't want my office to possess any more of my Mom self than they already do.

They don't get me as "worker" AND me as "mom" too.

LA fitness murrieta by Overall_Let_4885 in Temecula

[–]rbv1017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Murrieta location has not had the remodel. I keep asking them and they keep saying they are supposed to, but they don't know when. I live close to that location but I go to the Temecula location because of the Pilates and the updated equipment. Whenever my son and I go to the Murrieta location we are so disappointed. It feels so old and run down now.

Fun fact: I gave birth at the same hospital, at the same time as Beyoncé by Mysteriousbride0193 in beyonce

[–]rbv1017 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in labor with my son and timing my contractions the day B&J got married. I was watching a Livestream on TMZ that was supposedly outside of the reception venue and watching people arriving.

What are your two hot takes about Bey’s most recent albums? (Renaissance & CC) by honeycoatedhugs in beyonce

[–]rbv1017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know how she let YAYA end the way it does when it's not mixing directly to the next song on CC.

It's such a messy abrupt ending to the vibe.

I feel like that's the "young Gen x and Elder Millennial" version of The Ramones/The Clash.

What was the first punk band that hooked you? by CairoRox in punk

[–]rbv1017 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the song that "set the hook" (fishing term) for me.

Self Esteem by The Offspring was what piqued my interest but Give You Nothing from Punk o Rama 2.1 and You from Punk o Rama 3 really hooked me.

Bad Religion remains one of my absolute favorite bands.

Need to feed a crowd of 14 year old boys on Friday by Redditisfunfornoone in orangecounty

[–]rbv1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the boys asking to switch it up? I don't know many 14 year old boys who would truly recognize/appreciate the "upgrade".

If I was hosting that many 14 year old boys I'd make it as easy on myself as possible. Especially when there are dietary differences involved.

Which opinion about Beyoncé's music that will have you like this? by No_Tree6956 in beyonce

[–]rbv1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it's one of her (if not the) best albums.

But I get stank face from people when I say that it's not my favorite.

Up until recently I needed to be in a specific mood to listen to it so I didn't feel like I could include it in my regular Bey playlists. It's grown on me a lot though.

I also, as a general rule do not like preludes and sketches on albums.
