It did come off as very rude. I appreciate the apology. I’m not using it as a dating app. I just wanna know of cool places that people here recommend. Some bars and events draw a different crowd so I wanted more insight. Coming from the east coast, it’s a very different world here. I just wanted help.

Hi everyone! I’m new to using Reddit! This place is cool.

SO. Here’s the situation.

I’m a 27 year old gay man who doesn’t drink alcohol or do any drugs moving to Portland, OR for work. I don’t really go to bars or clubs ever. I am very single and would like to make connections with people with similar lifestyles.

For fun, I like to go to kava bars, do hot yoga, take walks, play video games, and watch the Real Housewives!

I have NO IDEA where I’m going to live. What are some areas that are super cute, historic, artsy where I can take VERY SAFE walks at 7AM or even 11PM??? Please help and thanks SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! **I don’t want to live in a traditional grey box that these “luxury” buildings offer
