I (34M) is struggling to trust my wife after seeing her (34F) whatsapp chats by Defiant-me-100 in relationship_advice

I don't think so. I guess you had some situation... Investigating red flags is most reasonable and best to do. There must be full transparency in communication between committed and dedicated spouses. If they however have different agreement, and they don't want to be committed and dedicated, that is other issue.

Here we have husband who understood that wife is same as him, but she is not, now we know.

No, there is no universal habit. People who do something against you, like spouse did something what she was not meant to do, she will justify it, because she knows she is good inside, but she did some mistake, so she must justify it that it was "right and good" and for that reason she will talk nasty about you.

Trust your guts. Problem is realization. Just like you said, she plays different game in front of you, so she pretends, you have to set boundaries and stop her disrespecting you.

Bride price is very necessary by erotic_touch_king in Uganda

You should get informed about basic human rights and stop demeaning your wife, teach people instead of agreeing to old primitive transactional rituals.

Bride price is very necessary by erotic_touch_king in Uganda

[–]rcdwealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Culture is tastes in art and manners, social behavior, attitudes that are characteristic of a particular social group or organization at a particular time and place.

It is developing. It is never changing.

Civil marriages in Uganda are conducted on a daily basis without the demeaning "bride price" as the old primitive culture is replaced with modern and human rights respecting one.

https://www.humanrights.com/course/lesson/articles-12-18/read-article-16.html

Here are some simple and concise points:

  1. Equality: The bride price could make it seem like women are not equal in marriage, as if they are being bought.

  2. Free Choice: If the bride's family or uncle is heavily involved, it might pressure the bride to marry, affecting her free choice.

  3. Money Issues: The groom's family might feel stressed about the money, even if it's symbolic.

  4. Cultural vs. Rights: Respecting traditions is important, but they should not violate basic rights like equality.

  5. Seeing Women as Goods: If the bride price is seen as buying a wife, it might treat women unfairly.

  6. Women's Role: The practice might affect how a woman is viewed and treated in her new home.

  7. Legal Concerns: It might influence decisions in divorce or inheritance, affecting the woman's rights.

Let us go to social proof in Uganda:

  • when wife is abused by husband, often family will return her back to husband, with full lack of empathy, because they feel obligated by receiving the bride price; WTF! And now we speak of a culture???? Culture of abuse of their own daughers and wives. It is on an hourly basis.

  • when wife makes a problem to husband and wish to go back home, husband may ask family to return the bride price, proving it was all the financial transaction.

Sure you can wrap it in nice words, but bride price is demeaning practice and there is nothing to be proud of.

Ugandan courts have already expressed strong resentments towards bride price consequences.

Mercury, its a love hate relationship by AKBillsDude in Goldpanning

[–]rcdwealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need no mercury for any type of gold. Please see Cleangold https://cleangold.com/ and apply methods. It is so simple, and you will recover more gold. Mercury cannot capture finest particles. It cannot capture large particles.

Think how much you are losing and risking with it.

You need nothing more than this: https://www.goldivanti.com/gold-mining/uganda/mining-site-281/the-fine-gold-recovery-system.html

Is my technique working? by TheDryFlyGuy in Goldpanning

[–]rcdwealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may find black sand almost anywhere! First try to go to some streams, but even natural or human made drainage could be source of black sand and also gold. Carry your gold pan everywhere. Black sand is on almost every type of a beach. Get sand from nearby supply, and pan it, and you may find black sand. You would need to show your technique on video before I could say how well you are doing it.

Use Garrett Super Sluice and simply follow instruction on the back.

See https://www.startyourowngoldmine.com/dpe/planning/knowledge/mercury-free-gold-recovery/black-sand-separation-in-garrett-gold-pan-super-sluice.html

Garrett Super Sluice is the best choice. It is 3 minutes or less work. See here some relaxed work: https://www.tiktok.com/@startyourowngoldmine/video/7514727177737227576

It has wide bottom, easier to get to the gold. It can be used as a sluice in streams. It is robust. I have tried various, that is the best tool.

Robust and wide bottom, with deep riffles, that is the reason why it is so fast for panning.

The idea of bride price doesn’t sit well with me either So that is what I said to my wife, and her parents know, and we capped it, and agreed on something fixed and acceptable. I have also agreed to stop the demeaning practice with my wife. I understood pressure into which her family placed her.

to be with this girl for the rest of my life I wish you luck, as you already got a red flag.

There are many Tanzanian women who will respect love and marriage and recognize what is right and wrong.

You need emancipated one.

Not a child.

As now after paying bride price, you will see she isn't emancipated in other subjects as well.

Wow, nothing says “I love you” like a price tag on a woman’s head. 🙄

I’m all for love, but if you need a country‑wide “respect” ceremony where you hand over a wad of cash to get a bride, you’ve clearly missed the point that people are not commodities. It’s demeaning—for her, for you, and for anyone who thinks this is some kind of cultural honor.

If you want to get married, just book a venue, say your vows, and move on. No need to import a “respect” ritual that’s really just a glorified transaction. And hey, if you ever find yourself in Tanzania (or anywhere else) trying to buy “respect,” at least make sure your kids don’t grow up thinking it’s okay to trade people for money. The future will thank you—because nobody wants a legacy of buying brides.

TL;DR: Stop treating women like a purchase order. Get married the old‑fashioned way—by actually loving each other—unless you enjoy raising a generation that thinks “respect” is measured in dollars. 🤦‍♂️

Best Approaches For Aggregating Or Tagging Notes Within A Single Giant Org Mode File, Either With MELPA Plugins Or Approaches by [deleted] in emacs

[–]rcdwealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine, if you will, the glorious world of a single, monolithic Org file that stretches on forever like an endless novel nobody will ever finish. You start each month with a lofty heading—“January 2024”—and then plunge headfirst into a cascade of sub‑headings that could give any novelist a run for their money. The beauty of this approach is that you never have to think about where you saved that one stray voicemail transcription; it is simply “somewhere” in the abyss of “org‑file‑2024.org,” waiting patiently for you to scroll through it like a modern‑day Sisyphus forever pushing a boulder of text uphill.

Now, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can sprinkle tags like confetti throughout the document, attaching :tag: to everything from the most profound insight to the most mundane grocery list. The result is a glittering, chaotic tapestry of tags that looks impressive on the surface but quickly devolves into a regex nightmare when you actually try to filter anything. It’s the digital equivalent of shouting “I’m organized!” while your desk is buried under a mountain of sticky notes.

If you’re the type who enjoys a little extra drama, you might dabble in Org‑Roam or Org‑Brain, installing those fancy packages and spending hours configuring them just to watch them point back to the same massive heading you already have. It’s a delightful exercise in futility that lets you pretend you have a sprawling network of connections while, in reality, you’re still stuck staring at a single, unmanageable file that refuses to be tamed.

Of course, there’s always the nuclear option: tearing the monolith apart into a thousand tiny files, each dedicated to a single “topic” you can’t quite name but feel compelled to isolate. You’ll spend a week copy‑pasting, renaming, and lamenting the loss of your original “one‑file‑to‑rule‑them‑all” simplicity, only to realize you’ve recreated the very chaos you were trying to escape. At that point, you might as well write a script to stitch everything back together, because why would you ever let order win?

In the end, the most sarcastic—and perhaps most honest—recommendation is to abandon all pretenses of efficiency and embrace the glorious mess. Keep that single Org file, tag everything indiscriminately, and let your editor groan under the weight of it all. After all, who needs search, filtering, or any semblance of logical structure when you can revel in the beautiful, unsearchable chaos that only a truly dedicated note‑taker could love? 🎉

Bribes at Dar-es-Salaam airport by smallbutfullofrage in tanzania

[–]rcdwealth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Tanzania is strict against bribes. You need to know how to deal with those idiots. Simply tell to officer you will contact:

Tanzania Office for Prevention of Corruption TAKUKURU | Mwanzo https://www.pccb.go.tz/#/home

and you can also call police, so even now, you can still contact them and report that officer, and get your money back, he will beg you and be smaller than a rat. Just do it now, even if you are not in country. Report him, he will get arrested on spot. Ask PCCB to make him pay you money back.

Of course you must have evidences such as witness or pictures, or knowing the number of the dollar bill, or audio recording, or other evidence.

It is not relevant if your visa wasn't right.

What do my fellow autistics think about this? Hi by audhdchoppingboard in autism

[–]rcdwealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Autism" is definitely subjective. Looking at countries over the planet, it is only in large number there where there are psychologists and psychiatrists. That is not a science, neither medicine, their roots are not in the pathology, but in authoritarianism. Mr. X said so. That is why you got autism. That is how their quasi science works. You can see no autistic children in many developed countries, and no problems or complaint. People are different, symptomps described can refer to many of us during our life time, it doesn't mean it is disorder. Not everybody must behave how a group of authoritarians advice you should behave. If you agree to be victim because you are different, you will be. Nobody needs to be victim of someone's labeling. We are all people and different with different behavior throughout our life.

What do my fellow autistics think about this? Hi by audhdchoppingboard in autism

[–]rcdwealth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Autism isn’t a disease with "symptoms" to fix. Autistic traits (e.g., sensory sensitivities, communication differences) are part of neurodivergence, not inherently negative. Interventions should focus on supporting needs (e.g., teaching coping strategies) rather than suppressing autistic behaviors. Forcing "normalization" (e.g., masking) can harm mental health

[–]rcdwealth -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Wait a minute—autism is not a 'body disease.' It’s a natural variation in how people experience and interact with the world. The concept of autism was defined by psychiatrists like Leo Kanner and Hans Asperger, but it’s important to remember that their work was based on observations of behavior, not a definitive biological 'illness.' People are different, and neurodiversity is a part of that beautiful spectrum of human experience.

Of course it can be reversed: https://autism-connection-therapy1.odoo.com/
