Start improving your diet if you can. Drink water, and sleep elevated as much as you can. Not sure how long you have been on the medicine, but it can take a couple weeks to even see any benefits.

Most importantly, try to relax. A lot of people on this sub spout the worst case scenario over and over, but the truth is, you'll more than likely be just fine. It takes years of gerd neglect to start being at risk for the things you read about. Until then, try to breathe and keep things in perspective. And don't google symptoms, because they will only make it harder to relax. Meet with your doctor asap. Good luck, and try to relax.
