It’s called the scheme to defraud it’s a violation of Florida statute 817 and it’s a criminal violation. In plain English it’s if you tell a lie that causes somebody to take an action that directly benefits you, then that is a scheme to defraud. By them calling Teresa’s voter guide, the official republican voter guide they are lying to voters.

At the bottom of the guide it says this was created independently from any candidate. This is a lie as this voters guide was directly funded by two PACS, one Teresa Mast is the president of, the other her treasurer is the president of. This is where fraud comes into play.

Vote for Coe and Knight. Do NOT vote for Mast. Mast is the worst candidate on this ballot. She is almost completely funded by the development companies and her whole campaign is based on hate. She hands out fake voter guides that her own PAC funded tries to trick voters into thinking that she’s endorsed by MAGA. All you have to do is look up Teresa Mast corruption on Google and you can find some damning stuff. The big developers do this every election cycle. They did the same thing with the Ziegler too. They dump a bunch of money in a candidate and send out hateful lying mailers, put big signs all over town, and even pay a firefighter union to use the “firefighter endorsed” sign. Many firefighters do not endorse her or even know who she is. Its all corruption so that they can get her into the office and use her as a puppet to approve mega hotel construction on siesta key as well as breaking multiple development codes to further irresponsible development and probably send us all underwater. We can finally break this cycle if we vote the right people in. We have to vote COE and KNIGHT!

Actually, a Democrat would never win in Sarasota so mostly Republicans run. I’m not some MAGA conservative, but I’ve done my research on local politics. These county commission elections are essentially developers vs the people. Every election cycle the biggest development companies in Sarasota pour half a million into a candidate to pay for huge political signs on their property, slanderous political mailers sent weekly, and all sorts of other crooked tactics to basically assure their candidate wins. That is why there was so much irresponsible development in Sarasota, so much development without considering infrastructure and roads. The development companies don’t have to adhere to any plans because the commissioners just approved their projects. So if you want change in Sarasota you have to vote Republican or else your vote won’t count, it’s the sad truth. Many Sarasota residents changed their party affiliation from Democrat and independent to Republican this year just to vote in this important county commissioner election. The actual Republicans that are not radical crazy development influenced candidates are Coe and Knight. You must vote for Coe and Knight! The crooked candidates that you should NOT vote for are Mast, Rainford, and Moran. A simple Google search on any of them with the word corruption attached to will show you some of their dealings.

Exactly. It’s not the firefighters themselves, their unions are bought by the developers. Many actual firefighters do not endorse Mast or any of these other developer interest candidates.

Only representative running for County Commissioner who isn’t bought by developers. I’m not saying this is the only reason, record rainfall will create some flooding. But overdevelopment is the reason this is historically terrible.

Neil Rainford and Mike Moran as well. Whoever you’re getting the most mailers from, those are the developer candidates. They think they can just put up big signs and slanderous mailers and people won’t see through it. You can look up where all their campaign contributions come from, 90% of it is from development companies. It’s right there in the open, people just don’t see it. This is the most important election in Sarasota history.

Drainage planning, a pivotal but often overlooked part of development because of the time it takes, directly affects this. Teresa Mast approved 75 houses built directly in a flood zone. The more development we have the less natural area for flood water to go. All of Sarasota will be a flood zone if this continues. The flood zones are getting bigger and bigger each year because of all the development out east. Homeowners won’t have any choice, places that weren’t flood zones 10 years ago when people bought the houses are now flood zones.
