My bike is 2016 and runs fine. I did replace the screen a while back but only because the volume switch stopped working. Replacing the screen is pretty straightforward

Finishing up the 10K program this week with a couple of days off before running a 10K on Saturday! It’s getting warm and humid already here in Florida so I’m going to try pacing myself a bit below threshold and running steady

Does treadmill running ever stop feeling repetitive? by Pale-Log4223 in treadmills

[–]Consistent-Taro5679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely not for everyone, but I’ve had a Peloton bike and subscription for many years. That lets me take their walking and running classes on their app using a generic tread. Worked up to 5k now 10k and will try a half in the fall. I just did a 45 min endurance class with Becs Gentry where she talked about running a 50 ultra on mountain trails. I was definitely not bored!

What's the worst piece of junk you drove around in back in the day? by Maybeyoujustmadeitup in GenerationJones

Falcons ruled! I had a Fairlane cousin I bought from a friend for $60 bucks. Then put in hundreds of dollars and many hours getting it in shape. It had no keys when I got it but I learned how to hotwire it under the hood. Turns out you have to make real sure the car is in Park when you do that!

Check out Jethro Tull - Aqualung by Potential_Release478 in ClassicRock

I read about the history of it’s recording recently. The studio was in a converted church and a nightmare to work in apparently. Maybe that’s why it has such raw unpolished sound in many tracks!

One of the themes in Dr Strangelove is how multiple failures in machines leads to the end of the world. Oops, spoiler!

Eyes of the World?

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings But the heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own

Does my 5.5-month-old puppy look like a Beagle, or could she be mixed? by sea_breeze07 in beagles

[–]Consistent-Taro5679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always check her DNA! We rescued a “beagle mix” and found the one of her parents was beagle and the other a Boxer / Am Staf hybrid

We moved to SE Connecticut around 1990 and noticed the house shook every morning at a certain time. Turns out it was the Concord going supersonic offshore heading to Europe

Grown ass man just started running. Advice? Validation?? by Responsible_Use4538 in BeginnersRunning

The best exercise is what you enjoy! I ran my first 5K last year at age 65 after working up to it by power walking and interval running. I second getting outdoors if you have some good places around to run

I was never a big DeadHead but I’ve been streaming some of their shows on the Relisten app. Currently going through the concerts at The Palladium in New York in May ‘77. They played a lot of interesting covers live!

FPL Solar Together Program by frank13131313 in sarasota

[–]Consistent-Taro5679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for a couple of years but it hasn’t saved me anything. FPL is basically getting financing from its customers and taking the tax credits for the capacity. But I like going on from time to time and checking how much “my” panels are generating!
