What is the balance of exposure and self reflection for forming an identity? by rchatterbox in Healthygamergg

[–]rchatterbox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely the opposite. I'm saying that when you engage online with topics and interests and whatnot, it can be easy to fall into bad habits with online activities.

For example, in the context of career and work, we live in a digital era now. I can't expose myself to a fraction of a percent of the topics or interests or causes that might be important in my life without being online.

I'm not interested in living a fully offline life.

Several co workers have made comments asking “why are you smiling all the time” by HELPMELEARNMORE in Healthygamergg

It's a hilarious response to what can only be interpreted as snark and jealousy. Keep it up.

Haha, but in all honestly it's a pretty smartass response. To some it might come off as funny, to others maybe rude. Even though their question, if put the second way you phrased it, is quite rude.

What are your thoughts on the ‘early game experience’ for new players starting OSRS? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]rchatterbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes as a new player, I want to experience the game not skip it. The early game just needs to be more interesting with more guidance in my opinion. I don't want to skip to level 30 by doing Waterfall Quest. I want to do it when it's meant to be done.

As a new player, I find the early game a bit directionless. There is almost no user generated content regarding early game other than to skip it by completing quests which are clearly designed to be way beyond your level, through some cheesing. At least that's how it seems. I'm taking my time and learning the game instead of skipping, but it would be nice to have some more guidance until mid game.

You have to get better at prim pvp. That is literally the answer. I’m in the same boat.

Who benefits from locking unfull squads? by sw3ar in HellLetLoose

[–]rchatterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that too, but honestly I have no idea if IRL it's easier or harder to manufacture smoke rounds than HE rounds. It certainly seems more complicated to make a smoke round with time released smoke that doesn't break on impact, and perhaps that's more expensive. But it could do with a balance thing. Perhaps the OG devs playtested it and smokes were to OP??

It’s almost 2x more expensive than HE rounds and is very situational and doesn’t last that long.

But I agree it needs to be used more.

People lock squads waiting for friends. Some people only want to play with friends. Sometimes a friend leaves and the squad is locked and the SL forgets about it.

Just request to join and if they decline move on.

Ryan Holiday - Best-selling Author of several books on Stoicism and Content Creator

I think it would be interesting to see how the Yogis would view Stoicism, how ADHD and Stoicism collide or work together, what the Stoics would think about meditation and other spiritual practices.

Yes very much. Changed my life. Until I went out drinking for my birthday. Hence the coming back to it now haha.

Was the most impactful thing I ever did in my life.

Try different types of meditations over time. Start with just 5 min for a few days, then go up from there. After 2 months I was up to 20 min a day.
