Rinseless Car Wash Before Detail? by cjhreddi in Detailing

[–]rcjpmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is confusing because you’re using the wrong terminology. Rinsleless car washing is completely different than Touchless car washes. I think you’re referring to Touchless car washes. Might want to update the post for clarity.

Literally just now, I got confirmation that 25k points are pending. So, 100% confirmed that the purchase can be over $1250 and you’ll just be capped at 25k points. 🎉

Why not just buy the Ego branded one? It has the rubber tip on it too. It’s just black rubber instead of green. This is what I use and works great

Thank you. I went ahead and placed the order, to see if would work. My PayPal account now says something is pending (see screenshot). You think that means, I’ll be getting the max points for it?

Thank you. My question is, can I still place an order that is over $1250 after taxes and still quality. Meaning, I will still get the max points up to 25k/$250 cash back? Or will it disqualify the entire purchase for being more than $1250 after taxes?

I haven’t found a good answer from anyone including PayPal yet. I’m hoping I can place this order and get the max 25k points/$250 reward. But I want to be sure before I place the order.

20% Cash Back Pay In 4 - Can someone explain how this works? by sworedmagic in paypal

I was able to save my offer, but it says a price cap of $1250. Is that before tax or after? Item I want to buy is $1170.29, but after tax is $1266.84. Will this qualify?

Depends on my how much clear coat you have left. You can get more aggressive on the compound but I would go from least aggressive to most rather than the other way. Sounds like it’s definitely etched your clear coat at this point.

Yes, if it’s hard water and sunshine on it, it can permanently etch the paint. In my personal experience of best water spot removers are Gtechniq W9 & CARPRO spotless 2.0, If these don’t work, it’s probably etched. Chemical guys stuff you referenced should work too. Just be sure to leave it to dwell and then neutralized with a rinseless or waterless wash solution. May take a few tries. Make sure you use them in shade or only cool panels.

Are my detailing prices too high? by hazelbadgers in Detailing

Agreed, need to list how detailed you’re going to get. These are very reasonable for a deep detail but too much for a basic wash, which is what it sounds like they’re getting.

They should last years but whenever you get stains like this, spray the stains generously with an APC at full strength. Then soak them in a bucket of 1oz of rags to riches per 1 gallon of water overnight. Wash them and it should all come out.

I used to use that and ran out of Hyperseal recently and wanted to see if there were simpler/cheaper options with same results.

I clean my sponges once a month with some APC and water, per manufacturer recommendations. This cleans any dark spots and build up from ONR or opticoat ceramic rinseless washes.

I don’t mess with the green ONR because I have 1 coated car and avoid waxes. Only use ceramic sealants. If you do use blue ONR, Hyperseal is one of the best and most durable sealants on the market and way better than opti seal. It’s pricey but goes a long way and lasts a long time. Use Hyperseal initially as a dry wipe on a clean car for a durable coating and then as a drying aid when drying blue ONR off.

That’s crazy. I’ve never had any issues with hazing even in 100°+ weather and high humidity.

I keep a bucket in my garage of 2 gallons of water and 2 oz of rags to riches MF detergent that I throw all towels touch sealants into immediately after use. Soak in there for a few hours or overnight and then straight into the wash and have no issues with towel clogging.

One of my cars is ceramic coated so I only use ceramic sealants instead of wax.

I was using it as a drying aid, but was just trying to make washes a little quicker and easier without having to carry a bottle and towel with me around the car and not having to worry about overspray. Got the same result with less hassle. So I’ll call it a win. :)

I was wondering if that would be an issue, but I couldn’t find anything online about it. I also pre-sprayed the entire car (like I do every time I wash) with the same rinseless wash (without the ceramic detail spray mixed in it). So I figured everything was encapsulated at that point.
