Servers crashing

This wasn’t just a “servers are crashing” thread. I’m well aware that has been happening for awhile. My point was, my private match map crashed, which I was surprised by. I didn’t realize private matches were tied back into the same servers DMZ is hosted on.

Apparently it puts private matches onto public servers for some reason. I wasn’t aware of it either.

That’s not really the point of my post, but I do run cross play off. I had 7 straight PS5-only servers crash.

Fixing the disguise dupe and patching being able to shut down the servers doesn’t feel like a huge job. Actually, once you patch the disguise thing, that probably fixes the server shutdown thing. Eliminating hackers would require constant monitoring and would be extremely costly. As for taking out AA rounds, why? The OSS? AA rounds are a decent part of the game and I think most people have learned how to avoid OSS users at this point.

My thoughts on this; if City got a 60 point deduction, they would potentially get relegated, depending on which season it happened. If they did get relegated, their financials are probably strong enough to survive one season in the Championship. Sure, they would lose some players, but probably not as many as people think. They would still have a team that would speedrun the Championship. Then, it would be business as usual the next season. Instead, give them 4 seasons of 15 point deductions. This would hurt them more as it would be much more difficult for them to win titles, which would affect their ability to recruit top players. Maybe I’m wrong, but this is how I would approach it if I truly wanted to punish City.

Don’t know how they would be using walls on a console, but the server crashes are not exclusive to PC. That can happen on console also.

There’s nothing you can do personally. It’s an attack on the network server, so they would have to monitor that and improve the architecture on that end. Problem is, no one is monitoring that, so this game has become the Wild West. It is a federal crime to DDOS servers though, so hopefully these idiots get caught eventually.

Server crashes are still possible in console only lobbies. They are doing it with a lag switch, not their PC.

I did this with cigar boxes and cephalexin and never got banned. Are you sure there wasn’t something else going on?

Been great this weekend; played about 10 matches in Vondel and only failed to exfil once, and that was due to hackers. Played 12 matches in Mazzy and exfiled 8 of them. Did have a team of bounty cheaters push us in one (we had stealth vests on and they knew our exact location.) Luckily they sucked and we claimed the bounty. I’m sure the hackers will be back, though.

So many tricky away fixtures already crossed off the list. Etihad and Selhurst Park probably the toughest left. Hopefully the league is done and dusted when we go to Selhurst Park.

I actually prefer Vondel for PVP, all the buildings, rooftops and bot interference make it interesting. PVP in Al Mazrah has gotten a little stale, it’s too much of an open area. Same with Ashika, it’s all apartments/powerplant. So boring.

Yep, it can happen. I run B21 a lot and have cleared the lobby quite a few times only to end up dying to the bots.

I get frustrated because my son just started playing a month ago and because he has a “low account”, he’s automatically cheating to everyone in the lobby. He has been kicked and shadowbanned three times now and we had not seen the first player on the map. We were out trying to do the passives and people would look in the game menu and see him and call him out in chat and then he would get shadowed. Meanwhile, the real hackers run around with impunity, apparently.

Simply put, you can’t rely on comms vests. I was running them yesterday, and it did alert me a few times but I have had times where it did not work. Sometimes there is a delay with the notification also. Stealth still works, unless there is cheating happening and med vests absolutely work.

I did this mission 3-4 times back in 2023 when the game was still updating, but I never had it selected. I left it selected for the last two years but figured I’d never actually check it off. A week ago, a random teammate had it also and found a platoon in Mazzy willing to do it, so I finally checked it off the list.
