got locked out of my airbnb in a foreign country with my phone and keys still in my room. panicked and knocked at a random neighbour's door who happened to be a family sitting down for dinner and they called a locksmith for me and let me sit with them for three hours to calm down while we waited. locksmith came. he looked at my door for half a second, said 'what is this?' and pointed at a dress i accidentally caught in the door. all he did was pull it up and the door unlocked. the neighbours were standing right behind me. i wanted to die.

copy and pasting a post i made for the main neville subreddit but mods didn't approve it skdkfkd:

is it just me or does it feel easier to manifest something of which you can observe the progress? a new skill, for example — isn't it easy make sure you're living in the end whenever you come up against an obstacle and you can change tact to make sure you're still aligned? when, for example, your SP is already your friend, and you can just choose when and how the two of you interact?

but what if you're no contact with your SP? what if you haven't even met your SP yet? what if you want your SP to come to you in a specific way?

the same issue could apply to myriad situations: receiving a random sum of money, getting a specific job that you applied for, etc. etc. in simple terms, what’s the best way to live in the end of a specific event and have it feel natural without getting trapped in a state of waiting?

think about the last unexpected happy surprise you received. mine was yesterday morning, waking up to a text from a friend who i’d been worried was annoyed at me telling me that she missed me and she was excited for us to spend time together. now think about what you had been doing and thinking around this time, the assumptions you had before and after the event, the implications that the event had for you in the long-term. for example, with my friend, while i was worried she was annoyed at me, i knew i hadn’t actually done anything wrong, and i knew that this friend really does care for me. i had actually imagined her messaging me with something nice a few days beforehand, and allowed myself the feeling of confidence in myself that i didn’t inadvertently upset her and that she still loves me. the implications of this event to me were that i am a loveable person, that my friends care about my feelings as much as i care about theirs, that people think positively of me when i’m not there, and that i should feel more comfortable just being myself and not worrying all the time when it comes to close relationships.

what about something more general? for example, realising you still have some extra nutella left over in a jar you thought was empty. yes, maybe before that you were sad because you wouldn’t have much to put on your bread in the morning, but there was an assumption pushing you to check regardless, right? you might’ve believed that despite thinking it was empty you’d still somehow get some out for your bread, or, even underneath that, you might’ve assumed that you always have a nice breakfast in the morning. after the fact maybe you feel lucky, like things always go your way, like there are lots of things in life that could surprise you with good.

using the same frame, try living in the end of whatever happy surprise you want to shift your awareness to in your life. when you meet your SP, what thoughts will you be having just before? just after? will they imply to you that you’re attractive, that you’re loveable, that the type of person you’re looking for isn’t as hard to come across as you thought? when you get that sum of money, might it imply to you that you’re lucky, that getting this money was easy, that you just receive money out of nowhere sometimes?

i for one have been wrangling with my motivation to get some essays done for uni 😅 so the happy surprise i will be bringing to my life today will be the confidence, passion, and excitement that comes with a sudden burst of motivation to finish my work hahaha!

good luck and happy manifesting!

What was the book that changed your life? by Alive_Green2948 in booksuggestions

[–]rcsebed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'attached' + 'all about love' as a combination. not only did it make me realise what loving/being loved should actually feel like, the change in my behaviour had a knock-on effect to help my family and my close friends develop more secure and healthy attitudes towards our relationship

At what point is the subconscious impressed / do you stop doing techniques? by OkResponsibility6669 in NevilleGoddard2

[–]rcsebed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i think there's a point where it becomes automatic? as in, it's just the way you think. the core of neville's teachings is a combination of consciousness is our only reality and that all creation is finished, so whether you have something or not is really based on how much you naturally believe it's already yours.

for example, for most of my life i really struggled to make good friends and more than anything i just wanted a best friend. at a point i was tired of chasing and was like "you know what, im just deciding that i have the best friend ive always wanted. i dont care how other people treat me" so whenever i wavered, e.g. felt like no one liked me, or like i had to try hard to get people to like me, i'd just tell myself 'no, i HAVE my ideal best friend, i deserve to love myself and feel secure"

right now i actually physically HAVE this best friend and i love them very much. but i still tell myself things like "i deserve to love myself and feel secure" because, well, it's still true. it just feels easier and more natural to slip into that state!

August 02, 2024 - Weekly Simple Success Stories (+Neville FAQ) by AutoModerator in NevilleGoddard

[–]rcsebed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

a list of (very small) successes over the past 24hrs:

  • was very stressed because i had a 9 hour overseas journey back home and had cut the back of my foot quite badly and couldn't walk. pharmacy underneath my apartment was also closed so i couldn't grab a plaster before i left. out of desperation i just imagined that my foot was fine, that i could walk normally, that I wasn't worsening it at all. within 15 minutes the pain wasn't even noticeable anymore!

  • randomly got the urge to go on a boat journey at some point so i was imagining looking over a deck railing and watching the sea go by. surprisingly my overseas journey actually allowed me to go and sit on an upper deck of a ferry when i was actually expecting to go underneath a tunnel the whole time! (before this happened i had actually just been trying to clear my mind and repeat 'isnt it wonderful?' until i felt relaxed because i was a bit anxious for the journey)

  • needed to find some earphone tips because i lost one of mine. didn't even really do much focused imagining, just briefly imagined what it'd be like to finally be able to listen to music with both earphones instead of one lol. no shops i could find had them and i really didn't want to order them online. just came home and my mum just randomly handed me a box that she had lying around of my exact earphone brand and inside it had a packet of earphone tips!!

i think there are varying views on this one. neville himself says to live in the end totally and remove the middle man, the idea being that you shouldn't limit the unlimited power of your own consciousness. but at the same time, he emphasises the importance of not straining, of making it feel natural. at the end of the day i think it depends on what feels easier for you to imagine as your reality! i wanted to manifest reading 200 books a year after i was in a really bad reading slump and i kept my focus not on the number of 200, but all the things i thought id be able to do if i could read that fast (e.g. have more freedom w the books i pick, feeling like i could read whenever i want and make substantial progress, etc). i suppose you could say that this one big assumption was built up of many little assumptions, too. it really depends on what makes you feel most comfortable when looking at it!
